Breaking walls
"You're kidding, right?" Halos natatawa kong sagot
Nagkatinginan ang magkapatid. Umiling si Clea
"He's mom first born. He had her before he met daddy. We found out about it when Crest went missing."
Tuluyan na akong na napatulala sa naririnig ko.
"I don't know how it happened, but mom never met Crest even though we knew him since elementary. We also just realized that he never came to our house to hang-out like he does with you."
"When he went missing, I thought to ask daddy for help, since being in politics, he's got a lot of connections. In the middle of the police investigation, mommy just broke down in tears when she learn about Lola Celia who took care of Crest. Nalaman nalang namin that she already suspects when she saw Crest's picture. He looks like his father, which mom, you know..."
"That's when mom told us about it. That the day Crest was born, when she woke up from the labor. They were already gone. It was what what they plan for Crests safety. Pinili ni mom na hindi alamin kahit ang naging pangalan ni Crest, natatakot siyang hindi niya mabitawan ang anak niya kaya iyon ang naging desisiyon nilang dalawa. Nalaman niyang si Crest ang anak niya ng makilala niya ang nag-alaga kay Crest mula pagkabata. It was one of Crest father's friend mother, who died. Malaki ang posibilidad na sa kanya siya iniwan ng tatay ni Crest."
"Mom said she was part of Crest's father organization. She was an asset. But she was able to get away from that life, thanks to Crest's father. But they know it's not safe for her still, that's why they decided to fake her death to run and leave Crest. In the end, mom had a plastic surgery."
Halos manginig ako sa mga nalalaman ko. Their history runs deeper than I thought.
"But before that, he met daddy and he was the one who helped her. After she changed her face. Mom and dad tried to look for Crest, but it was a dead end. Crests father made sure they won't leave a trace. They stop looking for him for our safety too. Dahil baka dahil sa paghahanap niya ay matunton siya."
Clea shed a tear. "I'm just glad that daddy knew about her secret, that she didn't carry all of it alone."
"Daddy made sure none of the information about Crest case won't go out. He did everything for it to never come to light. Hindi ko alam kung nagkausap din sila ng father ni Crest, but they don't say it. After the accident with Adamaris. After months of hiding with his father. I think they finally made a move on the people who wants Crest dead. Daddy offer a protection, that's why Crest lives with us now..."
Does Crest knew about it? About who her mother is? And is he safe now? Wala na ba ang mga taong gustong gamitin siya?
Hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko. Hindi ko alam kung magiging masaya ako na nakikilala na niya ang nanay niya o magiging malungkot sa naging takbo at paghihirap niya.
I feel so fucking guilty. Hindi ko alam ang mga nangyayari sa kanya. Dahil hindi ko na rin gustong malaman sa galit ko sa kanya. Pero ang malaman ang naging paghihirap at ang malaman ang malaking parte ng nakaraan niya ay parang hindi ko kayang pakiharapan siya dahil sa pagiging walang kwenta kong kaibigan sa kanya.
Fuck! And all along I thought he betray me by taking Clea away from me!
Tumayo ako at umalis sa harap nila.

"Antreas..." Naramdaman ko ang pagsunod ni Clea.
Pumasok ako sa kwarto niya at sinuot ang pantalon ko. I was only wearing my boxer. Hinanap ko ang mga gamit ko.
