"Sandra, listen..."

Napatingin ako sa kan'ya na pumunta sa pwesto ko at lumuhod sa harap ko. I saw how his eyes displayed a pained expression pero nasasaktan rin ako kapag maisip ko man na may mangyari.

"I will call you everyday. I will assure you that everything is going to be fine."

Napailing ako.

"Yang, hindi mo kasi naiintindihan. Hanggang ngayon, natatakot parin ako na baka umalis ka na naman at hindi ka na bumalik."

"I'll comeback. For you. For our future."

Lumipas ang gabi ng sobrang bilis na pakiramdam ko ay sobrang kulang ang oras namin sa isa't-isa. I know how hard it is for someone you love to go away from you. If I can be selfish, I want to be selfish just once again. Gusto kong pigilan si Yang na umalis. Pero hindi pwede. Hindi ko man alam sa sarili ko kung bakit hindi ako nakakampante tuwing nawawala siya.

"I'll go back to Germany tomorrow."

Yang said while we were cuddling on his condo's balcony. I was wresting my head on his shoulders while Yang is caressing my hair non-stop.

"Bukas na pala."

Matamlay na sagot ko. Tinignan ako ni Yang ng mata sa mata. He then kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes and inhaled his scent for me to remember how he smelled, how he looked at me, how tall he was. But in the end of the day, I won't even forget him.

"Sandra, I promise to call you. Everyday. Any time I'm available. Just always check your phone. I'll send you pictures of me. I'll call you everyday because I will miss your voice."

I felt a tear falling out of my eye. Gusto ko na lang pahintuin ang oras para hindi na siya matuloy bukas sa pag-alis. Kahit na makasarili man sa part ko, titiisin ko na lamang. We fell asleep in each other's warmth.

Maagang gumising si Yang dahil maaga rin ang flight niya. Nagbreakfast na lang kami sa nearby cafe para naman kahit papaano ay makapagbreakfast man lamang si Yang before his flight.

"I'm going to miss you, my everything."

We were hugging each other at the airport's entrance. Even if it hurts, I'll wave at him with a smile on my face to assure him that I will be fine. I will be fine without his warmth, his presence, his voice for a while.

"I'm going now. I love you Sandra. I'll comeback and I'll see you soon."

And with that, he left with carrying my heart away. Bawat hakbang niya papasok sa airport ay mas lalong bumibigat ang loob ko at mas lalong pumapatak ang mga luha ko. Comeback home soon, my love. I'll wait for you.
