Chapter 33: Buenavista

"Ginagamit ang isang simpleng car bomb dito. It detonated when the driver beep the car open. It's a simple car bomb called VBIED. Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device." pahayag ni Elijah.

Tumatango ang mga pulis na nakikinig. Walang ilang minuto, nakuha na agad ni Elijah ang sanhi ng pagsabog ng sasakyan. The investigator here with the policemen is somehow amazed.

"Unang beses ko pa lang nakita ang ganito. Sanay kami sa mga klase klaseng krimen pero hindi ganitong eksena tila palabas ng Probinsyano." natatawang puna ng isang pulis.

"We'll take it from here. I'll personally transfer this to our jurisdiction," baritonong tugon ni Elijah.

"E, Young General, malaking abala po ito sa inyo. Maliit na bagay naman po ito, kami nalang ang bahala." sabi ng Chief.

"Oo nga po. Kaya namin ito, Sir." sang-ayon ng isa.

May pinakita si Jude sa Chief Police tila isang dokumento. The policemen went over to look whatever is written on the paper.

"This incident involves a case we are dealing. I hope you won't interfere." tugon ni Elijah.

Mabilis na tumango ang Chief. "Oh! Oo, Young General. Walang problema po."

Jude handled the rest as Elijah strode towards me again. Nangangamba pa rin ako. Hindi para sa aking kaligtasan o kay Daddy kundi sa pamilya niya. He said earlier that all of his Titos and even his parents are in the province. They are already alerted too about Donatello's possible attack.

Inabot niya agad ako at hinalikan sa noo. I closed my eyes a bit and sighed in relief. I let myself get lost to his warm hug before opening my eyes again.

"Can we stay tonight with Dad?" mahina kong tanong.

Tumango siya ng marahan. "Of course,"

I sighed and looked at Dad who is making sure his driver is okay at the ambulance, ready to depart to the nearest hospital.

Hinatid namin si Daddy pauwi ng mansion. Bumalik kami sandali ni Elijah sa penthouse pagkatapos hinatid si Dad para makakuha ng damit.

"Anak, hindi mo naman kailangan samahan pa ako." mahinang sabi ni Daddy.

Ngumiti ako. "I'm sure what happened somehow got under your skin, Dad. I'm sorry,"

"What are you sorry for? This isn't your fault."

"Nakalimutan mo ba na may asawa na ako, Daddy? And my husband's problem is mine too. And now you got involved." I said softly.

Dad sighed and placed a hand on my left shoulder. Nasa mansyon kami. Elijah left after he talked with Dad about the incident. Pumunta siya sa BFMASA. His men are on high alert because of this.

"I am fine, hija. Pero hindi kakayanin ng aking konsensya na ako mismo ang naghila sa'yo sa buhay na ganito." iling niyang sinabi.

"And I choose this, Dad."

Tumingin siya sa akin at may pagdududa sa tingin niya na tila rin ay puno puno ng pagsusumamo. Sinusuri niya ako tila ay hindi ako ang kilala niyang anak. I chuckled lightly.

"Dad..." natatawa kong tawag.

"Hindi ka ba nagsisisi, anak?"

"About what?"

"Being married to a dangerous man. A dangerous life." aniya.

A smile appeared on my lips. Totoong ngiti na walang bahid ng pagsisisi. My heart began to palpitate softly and joyfully. 'Yung tipong kahit may nangyari kaninang hindi pangkaraniwang ngunit nasa puso ko ay kampante pa rin.
