Chapter 10: The Brothers' Domains part 1

Liebe and Asta have been training at the jujutsu academy for little more than 2 years, during that time they also went on missions and have proven to the higher ups their abilities, and they were made 1st Grade sorcerers, a rank that would take the average sorcerer 10 years to come close to reaching. Aside from Yuji, they were, without a doubt, the most talented jujutsu sorcerers in a millennium.

Asta and his brother were at the indoor training hall with Yuji and Todo, chatting after a long sparring match, when suddenly a thought came to Yuji.

(Asta's p.o.v.)

Liebe and I were talking with Yuji and Todo when Yuji suddenly asked Todo, "By the way Todo, why didn't you ask Asta and Liebe what's their type of women?" That left me and Liebe baffled, why would Todo ask us that? We responded to Yuji's question by saying, "huh?" Yuji explained, "When Todo meets a new guy, he asks that question. Says he can tell what their inclinations are based on what kind of women they like." Liebe replied, "Well that's an interesting, yet peculiar way of thinking." Todo answered, "The sorcerer that brought me to the academy, Yuki Tsukumo, would always ask someone new the same question, it came from her." He continued, "To answer your question Yuji, I didn't need to, I could just by looking at them that they are indeed interesting. But, on a side note, what are your types of women guys?" I replied, "Well, good looks aside, I prefer a girl with a kind heart, and strong spirit." Yuji answered, "Sounds like you prefer warrior women." I scratched the back of my head and nodded. Then Liebe answered Todo's question, "Not interested." He said it so bluntly. Todo asked Liebe, "Why not?" Liebe pointed at his face and replied, "Look at my face, do you think this will attract women?" I responded, "I don't know, I think you can scare up a couple of girlfriends with that mug of yours." My brother looked at me unamused and said, "Scare? Haha very funny, jackass." The three of us giggled. Then, suddenly, Gojou appeared out of nowhere as usual and called for me and Liebe, "Hey Asta and Liebe, it's time for next lesson in jujutsu. Yuji, Todo, why don't you two come along and watch?" Yuji answered, "Sure, this could be interesting." Todo nodded. We all grabbed ahold of Gojou and he teleported us to the field where me and Liebe met Yuji and Todo, there we saw a guy with black hair and a brooding expression on his face. Yuji apparently knew him because he called out, "Hey, Fushiguro, how ya been?" The black haired man replied, "Still as happy-go-lucky as ever huh, Itadori?" Gojou came up to the black haired man and introduced him to us, "Asta, Liebe, this is Megumi Fushiguro, a fellow classmate of Yuji's, and 1st Grade sorcerer like you." We each shook Fushiguro's hand and greeted him. Then, Gojou began to explain, "Alright, in this lesson, we're gonna talk about the very pinnacle of jujutsu. Megumi, if you please.." Fushiguro made a sign with his hands, and said,

"Domain Expansion....."

Fushiguro's shadow gushed out in a flood of blackish water and the sky was dyed crimson.

Chimera Shadow Garden."

Liebe and I were in shock and awe at what was happening before our eyes. Gojou explained what we were seeing, " This is Domain Expansion. Fushiguro layed out his innate domain (a mental landscape unique to each person), and then he imbued it with a cursed technique. You'll sometimes see cursed spirits deploy an incomplete domain that are not imbued with a technique. Setting up a domain like this always consumes a ton of energy but the advantages it gives you makes it worth it. One of them is the boost to stats due to environmental factors." "You mean like enhancement spells in magic." I inquired. Gojou replied, "That's right. And another advantage is..." Suddenly, we felt something grab our legs. We looked down to see a group of shadowy animals grabbing our legs. Gojou continued, "The techniques imbued in a domain are always sure to hit within that domain. That is guaranteed." That explanation of his piqued our interest more than any other jujutsu technique we've been taught. Liebe said, "This seems similar to a mama zone, only in a domain you can practically warp reality to your liking." Gojou replied, "Indeed, although it's not an all-powerful technique. There are several ways to counter it. You can take the hit using a cursed technique. Or, and I wouldn't recommend this, you can try leaving the domain, but that's usually impossible. But, the most effective way to counter a domain, is lay out your own domain. When two domains overlap, the more refined one will dominate that space, though the compatibility and amount of energy can factor in as well. I'll show you." As he said that, Gojou took off his blindfold and his eyes were revealed. I can only describe them as, it looked like there was a whole sky in those balls. Gojou crossed his fingers and said,

"Domain Expansion...... Infinite Void."

With that, Megumi's shadow garden was completely replaced by azure blue void, with what looked like a giant black hole in center of it all. As soon as it appeared, Gojou released the technique and the landscape returned to normal. Gojou put his blindfold back on and asked us, "Well, guys what do you think about Domain Expansion?" We replied at the same time, "It was awesome!!" Gojou said, "Good, now your lesson will be to first lay out your innate domain. First, make a sign with your hands, and focus, gather the cursed energy, and once you have enough, spread it out just like Megumi did." I started first. I did just as he instructed, I gathered enough cursed energy, and spread it out over the area. "Good now, picture your innate domain, and have the cursed energy take the shape." I pictured my domain and it appeared. It was a massive church adorned with what looked like human bones, and the sky was a dark blue color as far as the eye could. "That's impressive, though it's incomplete, you should give it a name to describe it." The name had already as I examined the structure my cursed energy created.

"A chapel seemingly dedicated to an evil god, whose only blessing is a quick death to all who tread upon it's unholy ground. This is my Domain Expansion: Cathedral of the Demon God."
