Chapter 30: Doll House and Dark Garden

I managed to split the battalion of Special Grades into two groups with the help of Fushiguro's shikigami, by killing every curse in my path. When I did, He got the attention of one group and lead them away from me, while I deal with the other group. With my estoc in hand, I began cutting down the enemy so to speak. I pierced the hearts with my cursed tool, and smashed heads in with my cursed energy enhanced fists and legs. After an hour, I managed to take out 215, but I still had another 200 more to exorcise. During that hour, I sustained quite a few injuries, fractured bones, a ruptured organ, and a smashed right eye. Honestly, the pain was almost unbeatable, but I knew that I had no time to bitch about the pain. I also knew that I wouldn't last, if I kept going the way things were. I decided that at that moment, it was time to use my trump card. I put my sword away, and made a hand sign, then I gathered my cursed energy and I shouted,

"Domain Expansion.......!"

As soon as I said it, a shroud of darkness surrounded me and the Special Grades. Then, rows of cabinets three times the height of a human, and as long as the perimeter of a small cabin, began rising from the ground. Within the cabinets, were countless dolls with depictions of human bones and organs printed on their torsos. Along with the cabinets, were platforms with staircases rose up some of the cabinets above the others. And the sky became a ceiling.

"A showroom of hexed dolls, each with the potential to cause excruciating pain or death to anyone under the roof of this voodoo shrine. This is my Domain Expansion:.........Cursed Doll Galleria."

The technique imbued within my domain is simple, each doll is linked to a bone or organ of anyone in the domain. If a doll is destroyed, the corresponding organ or bone on the broken the doll will be destroyed too. The dolls are linked to random people, but one doll among all the others is linked to me. If it's smash, I'm dead. That one doll is hidden among all the others, even I don't know where it is. So, I just need to be one the lookout for my doll, while I or the opponents smash the others, intentionally or not.

I once again drew my cursed tool, and resumed fighting the cursed spirits. The enemy came charging at me, I sidestepped out of the way and kicked it into the doll-filled cabinet, destroying quite a lot of the dolls, causing 20 of the Special Grades to either experience pain or just die. Clueless as to what happened, the curses continued coming at me, and getting crashed into the cabinets. This continued for another 30 minutes, by then there were only 17 Special Grades left. With that many left, I decided to mix things up a bit. Up to that point I've just evading and pushing the Special Grades into the cursed dolls to try and get some modicum of rest and time to heal my injuries. And when I got enough strength back, I decided to take them head-on, killing the enemy with my estoc, while also smashing them into the cabinets. In another half hour, I finally took down all of the remaining Special Grades. With all of them dead, I released the domain and fell on my ass from the exhaustion. "Whew, I'm so beat, but at least it's clear on my end!" I half yelled as I laid on my back.

  1 hour earlier

I had managed to cut down 219 of the Special Grades, but I still had 196 more to kill. I noticed that in the distance, Kugisaki had deployed her domain, which seemed like a good idea to me too. I put my cursed tool away and made a hand sign, gathered my cursed energy, and I shouted,

"Domain Expansion.......!"

With that, my domain had spread out over the area.

" An small lake of pitch black. What lies beneath is a garden of beasts made of darkness, ready to engage those who threaten their habitat. Some are ordinary in appearance, while others are fusions of different creatures. The name of this unholy paradise is....... Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden."

Pitch black frogs emerge from the depths and latched onto the curses, making them unable to move. While they were stuck in place, two clones of my bird like shikigami, Nue, came flying at them from above, and zapped them with a deadly amount of electricity. Almost half of them died, while the others were just stunned. I made a hand sign to summon my demon dogs to tear the immobile Special Grades apart. I got one my cursed tools, that I had stored in my shadow, out, a black bladed Dao. Along with my shikigami, I proceeded to cutting down all of the special grade before they could move again, after 30 minutes, I managed to kill them all. I released my domain and collapsed due to my numerous I injuries and I passed out shortly after.

(Mars' p.o.v.)

Ladros and I had healed our wounds and recover enough of our strength by the end of the battle. We got up and made our way to the victorious yet heavily injured jujutsu sorcerers. I went to Kugisaki, while Ladros headed over to Fushiguro. As soon as I got to her, I knelt down and asked her, "Are you alright?" She weakly replied, "Injured but alive. How's Fushiguro?" I called over to Ladros and he shouted, "He's injured and out could!" Kugisaki said to us, "Take us back to our camp. Mars, you can use recovery magic, right?" I nodded. "Good, use your magic to our internal injuries, fortunately we only received blows from the curses so our insides should be treatable for you." She informed me and we agreed. We picked them up, and carried them back to their camp where I used my recovery spell,

I wrapped Fushiguro and Kugisaki in the magic, and proceeded with healing their insides
