Chapter 6: Jujutsu Training

Gojou brought us to a large field, where other sorcerers in training have gathered. When we all got there, Gojou introduced us to them. Some were surprised to see Liebe, a devil in front of them, others were indifferent. Liebe and I went over to the others sorcerers, and Gojou began the first lesson, channeling our cursed energy. He said that as a way to start would to think of our worst memories to get a feel of cursed energy before actually channeling it. I thought of all the ridicule and mockery from the people who looked down on me for being magicless I had tried to ignore, and the betrayal of all my friends, all those negative emotions welling up inside me, caused to feel cursed energy for the first time. I looked around and saw that everyone around me was surprised, even Gojou as he said, "Impressive Asta, normally one couldn't grasp the sensation so quickly, but it seems that you're a quick study, you and your brother." I looked over to Liebe and Gojou was right, Liebe did pull it off. "Since you two both have a grasp of it, try channeling it into your fists." Gojou instructed us. We focused on channeling our cursed energy into our fists, and succeeded. He then said, "Excellent, now while your doing that,  punch these." Apparently, while we were channeling our energy, had warped away and came back with two practice dummies in tow. He stood them up and Liebe and I walked over to them, I went first and punched the dummy and it had been completely shattered beyond all recognition. Liebe punched his dummy and the same thing happened. Gojou explained, "Your strike had been enhanced by your cursed energy, making it even stronger. Now, before we find out what your techniques are, you both  practice what you just learn until the rest of the class catches up." We nodded in agreement and practiced channeling our cursed energy until the others learned how to do it too. After an hour, they managed to pull it off. Gojou then told us it would normally take half a day to do it, but everyone completed the task in no time, he even, to our surprise, congratulated me and Liebe for motivating the others, which apparently we did. Guess they didn't want to fall behind. "Now, let's move on to learning what your innate cursed techniques are." After a while, we all learn what we can do, Liebe's technique was reversing the effects of any and all cursed techniques within a certain range, it's called 'Cursed Ruler', and mine was to slash targets with cursed energy, known as 'Severance', Gojou told me only one other had ever possessed this technique, the king of cursed spirits, Ryomen Sukuna. Which was surprising that I have the same technique as someone like that. After that, it's basically been lectures on how the jujutsu world operates. Then we headed for the workshop, where the cursed tools are made. Cursed tools are weapons or support items infused with cursed energy as they are manufactured. We were told to learn how to craft cursed tools because learning how to use them is a necessity for a sorcerer, and creating a cursed tool to suit your fighting style and technique will give you an advantage in combat. Before we could create our cursed tools, we had to first get a design for them, so the blacksmith first took us to his armory, where he stores various weapons of all shapes and sizes. All of us were taking a look around when I saw two weapons that caught my eye, a katana and a shorter version of it. "It would seem you found your weapon of choice, Asta." I turned toward the one who said that, and it was Gojou standing right next to me. I jump back a bit because he surprised me, and I said, "Don't do that." He apologized and asked me again if I found my weapon of choice, and I answered, "Yes, but I'm curious about the shorter katana here." "Oh, that's called a wakizashi, it's a companion to the katana. In the land of the sun, there are a few warriors who can both of them at once." Gojo's reply intrigued me. And I told him that I want to fight using them both. He laughed and said, "That's interesting. If you want to learn how to use them after you make your own, you ask an expert on using cursed tools, your senior, Her name is Maki Zenin." He's right, I'm familiar with using my anti magic swords, but these blades were designed to be used differently. "Thanks Gojou, I'll be sure to ask her." I said. Gojou replied, "No problem, I'm always willing to help out my students. See ya." Gojou left as soon as he appeared. Now that I have selected designs for my cursed tools, I went to see what Liebe picked out. I saw Liebe holding a one handed blade. I asked him what kind of sword it was. He replied, "The blacksmith told me it's called a Gladius, it feels wielding a smaller version of the demon dweller sword, so I'm choosing this a design for my cursed tool." I can see where he's coming from, he's been training our anti magic blades so long, he wants a weapon similar to them. I showed him the weapons I chose and told him  what Gojou told me about Maki Zenin, and Liebe said, "Good idea, we should ask an expert, because cursed tools are completely different from what we we've dealt with before." We both left the armory, and began sketching our own unique design for our cursed tools.

After 6 months of training in jujutsu and in the cursed forge, we have completed our cursed tools, Liebe's was a Gladius with a black hilt, and due to his cursed energy, the blade of the sword had been dyed in a hue of blood red. Mine was a katana and wakizashi, each with demons cut into the guard, and like Liebe's weapon, my swords' blades were also dyed blood red from my cursed energy. Now that we have our cursed tools, we should pay a visit to our senior.
