(Yuta's p.o.v.)

"My name's Satoru Gojo, what's yours?" The white haired man asked me. I answered, "Yuta Okkotsu." He walked up to me, crouched down and said, "So, Yuta, mind telling me why you're under this bridge with a cursed spirit?" I asked him, "What's a cursed spirit?" He replied, "A cursed spirit is a manifestation of people's negative emotions towards a subject formed out of cursed energy. A power separate from mana that only a rare number of people can use. And what's haunting right now is a powerful cursed spirit." 'Now I know what Rika became.' I thought. I honestly didn't see a point in telling him at the time, but I figured it couldn't hurt. So, I explained what happened to me, to Rika, and to my parents. He replied, "I'm sorry you had to go through all that." I said, "No, don't be." He asked me, "So, what do you plan to do now? Live under this bridge for the rest of your life?" I answered, "I didn't go under this bridge to live, I went under here to die. I can't stop Rika from killing people, I'm sick of watching people meet a grizzly death, even if they're royals or nobles. I just want it to stop." He paused for a couple of seconds until he said, "If you want it to stop, why not become a jujutsu sorcerer?" I looked at him confused, and said, "Become a jujutsu sorcerer?" He replied, "That's right. As a sorcerer, you learn to control cursed energy, and possibly you can learn to control Rika so that she won't attack anyone to defend you. From what you told me about her actions, her only reason for commiting those murders, was to protect you, the fact that she stopped you from committing suicide is proof enough." His proposal definitely gave me hope that I could stop Rika killing people, but still there was one problem that was on my mind. I said to him, "But even if I gain control over Rika, there's nowhere for to go or belong. I'd still be all alone." He replied, "Not true, many jujutsu sorcerers have experienced loss and hardships because of the aristocrats or not. You would be surrounded by people who would know the pain you been through, you would not be alone. Also, the jujutsu world is a completely separate society from what you live in, we are self-sufficient, not bound by countries, or aristocracies, and the people who are at the top are chosen for their experience and character through majority vote. So you won't have to worry about discrimination. And as for a sorcerer's line of work, we protect the people of the world from curses in secret." What he told me did pique my interest. I wouldn't have to live by the rules of power and money hungry aristocrats. And the possibility of keeping people from dying because of me, help reignite my will to live. I gave him my answer, "Please....help me lift our curse, mine and Rika's." With that, he reached out his hand for me to grab. I took it and all of a sudden, we were right before a huge gate. It opened and I saw a valley with a massive fortress and huge farmlands.

Gojo lead to the fortress, to an old man making dolls. The old man said to Gojo, "I see you're back from your mission Satoru. I also see you brought back a cursed boy." Gojo replied, "Yep, the mission went smoothly. And also, this is Yuta Okkotsu, he wants to become a jujutsu sorcerer." Gojo looked at me and said, "Yuta this is the principal of jujutsu academy, Masamichi Yaga." I greeted the man named Yaga and he did the same. He then asked me, "Tell me boy, why do you want to become a jujutsu sorcerer?" "The cursed spirit haunting me is or was my childhood friend and the girl I loved, Rika Orimoto. She was murdered by a noble son on a whim, and became what you see now. Ever since then, she's been killing anyone who even so much as threatens to do me harm, even my parents. No matter what I tried, I couldn't stop her from killing, Gojo told me that I might be able to stop her if I learn jujutsu." Yaga asked, "So, you wish to keep any more people around you from dying, by learning jujutsu to control your deceased love? ......That is understandable, but tell me what will you do after accomplish your goal?" I expected him to ask me that question. I answered, "I will continue living as a jujutsu sorcerer. I no longer have a home or family to go back to, so I will fight to keep others from losing theirs." Yaga smiled and said, "A fine answer. Welcome to Jujutsu Academy."

After that, I began learning jujutsu at the academy. Because Rika was so powerful, the higher ups labeled me as a Special Grade sorcerer right off the bat. I gained many things during my time at the school; a home, friends, allies, and the power to protect those in need with Rika. I helped train my juniors like Asta and his devil brother, Liebe. I honestly never thought that I could've been happy again, but after coming to Jujutsu Academy, I'm finally able to smile once again.

Flashback ends

Myself and Kokichi started setting up the commissioned curtains three miles outside the Spade Kingdom's capital. Since we heard that a sibling trio of devil hosts known as the Dark Triad rule the kingdom, we decided to  set it up far enough from the capital for no one soldier to see. Once we set everything up, we went to a nearby cave to seek shelter from the cold. We brought out specially made charms that can create a barrier that could keep the cold out. After putting up the barrier, we built a fire to keep myself warm and Mechamaru from freezing up. We began preparing for the upcoming battle for the next four weeks, the next day.
