Chapter 36:Birth of New Gods

It's been a week since we all had returned to Jujutsu Academy, and every other sorcerer has been praising us for fighting off so many powerful cursed spirits, they even began calling us 'war gods' or 'demon gods'. Honestly, it was very embarrassing to be called gods, and it would been very brazen to accept being called a god. But enough about that for now.

Myself, Asta, Yuji, Todo, Fushiguro, Kugisaki, Kokichi and Yuta were all hanging out at the training after our daily training routine and we began talking about what we had experience on our journeys to the capitals of the four kingdoms, Yuji started, "It was rather eventful for me and Todo. We had been just a week after we crossed the border into Clover Kingdom and we got a visit from one of your former friends, Asta." My brother asked, "Which one?" "Noelle Silva." Todo replied. Asta sarcastically asked, "Well, I bet she was very happy while I was gone, huh?" Yuji replied, "Actually, she was pretty upset that you were banished from Clover. Even went so far as to say she hated the aristocrats and herself for being born one." All of us, except Asta was surprised that Noelle said such a thing. My brother refused to believe that she really cared about him. Yuji and Todo also told us about the death of his foster brother Nash by a curse, them sneaking into the Wizard King's castle to steal a cursed object, even being found and brought to the Wizard King's doctor for treatment. The other four didn't have a eventful journey to the capitals, but what caught Asta's attention was that Mars and Ladros were able to see curses, and frankly I was interested myself. According to Fushiguro and Kugisaki, they were able to easily defeat 2nd Grade curses with cursed tools. With proper training, they could become Grade 1 sorcerers in no time. Knowing that, I can see one of the reasons why Gojo proposed the establishment of jujutsu branch divisions.

Asta and I then regaled the others with the tale of our journey to Heart Kingdom's capital. We shared every detail, including me mocking the Queen's virginity, which they all laughed at. As we all were calming down, Gojo appeared and said, "Hey, guys. The higher ups are calling for us. They said they have something to tell us." We all nodded and followed Gojo to the meeting to see the higher ups. We all arrived, entered the room and greeted the leaders of the jujutsu world. They began by saying, "Good, now that you're all here, we can begin this meeting. First off, Gojo after careful consideration, we have agreed to your proposal. It's time to extend our reach to inside the borders of the four nations. Gather the Sorcerers who are most familiar with the kingdoms' terrain to scout out suitable locations to place the branch buildings and be sure to be discreet." Gojo replied, "Thank you, and don't worry, I will." The higher ups turned their attention to the 8 of us. "Now, after reviewing your reports and evaluating you're skills during your last mission, we made two decisions. First, Kokichi Muta, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Aoi Todo,  Asta, and Liebe, you are all hereby promoted to Special Grade sorcerers!" The six of us who they called out were absolutely in disbelief that were were made Special Grade sorcerers. However, what they told us next was was what really surprised us. "Our second decision, is that the eight of you will become a new cornerstone in the jujutsu society, a group that hopefully will become goal for many future jujutsu sorcerers, and a symbol of fear to all curse users. Taken from the name that the others have been calling you all lately, you will be known as, The 8 Demon Gods." With that we became a new symbol of admiration for the future of the jujutsu world.

After the encounter with the man named Gojo, I decided to call all of the  squad captains together for a meeting.  After a few hours, the captains all arrive in the meeting room of my castle. I began the meeting by thanking them all for coming. "So, what's the occasion for this little get together, Julius?" The black bulls captain, Yami asked. I replied, "Yami, remember the item that your squad member, Zora found on his last mission? The one that was stolen from my office?" He nodded. The other Captains were alarmed that someone snuck into the castle and took something from my office. "Well, I had found the culprits. They were the two men that Nero found and brought back here for treatment. When I went to check on them, I saw that they had item in their possession, before I got an answer from them, someone else appeared from behind me. A white haired man wearing a blindfold, the two men called him Gojo. He said the reason they took the item was because it was too dangerous to be in my possession, and were gonna bring it somewhere to be sealed away. What's more alarming is that he knew who I was." The captains were shocked that someone knew about the my current appearance beforehand. The fact that I had become a child was kept a secret from even the king. Nozel of the silver eagles asked, "How did he know who you were?" I replied, "I asked him that same question and he told me that he heard it from Asta." Yami jumped out of his seat and yelled, "What?! He knows Asta? You're kidding me, right?!!" Fuegoleon of the crimson lion kings said, "I see, Asta knew about your current state as well. But to go so far as to tell an outsider, that's out of line." Charlotte of the Blue rose asked, "Did this 'Gojo' say what his relationship was with Asta?" I replied, "Yes, he said that Asta and his brother were his students, along with the two thieves." Jack of the green mantis replied, "This Gojo guy is the kid's teacher? This must mean that Asta has been getting stronger since he the royals kicked him out the country. I wonder if he'll be fun to cut up now?" Fuegoleon asked, "Where is this Gojo now?" I answered, "He took the item and the two men and just disappeared. I can only assume that he teleported himself and the other two away somewhere." Rill of Aqua deer asked, "He managed to slip past you just like that? He must be quite good." I replied, "That's why, I want all of your sqauds to be on high alert. If someone could break in to this castle so easily is on the loose, there's no telling he can do. Also, keep this confidential, we can't let this information go public, or else there will be chaos." The captains all stood up and saluted. They left after that. I sat down in my chair and said while looking out the window, "Asta, where are you, right now?"
