Chapter 46: Cursed Alliance part 2

(Kenjaku's p.o.v.)

I was quite surprised by the fact that these cursed spirits knew who I really was. My Curse Technique allows me to swap bodies with someone else by transplanting my brain into another body. This also allows me to use the abilities of the body I possess. Magic, Cursed techniques, anything my host can do, I can as well. For the last thousand years, I had been jumping from one body to the next to not only keep myself alive, but to also give myself more time to work on my plans. Currently, I was possessing the corpse of Suguru Geto, who I had killed after the Night Parade of 10,000 Demons. So, if a jujutsu sorcerer were to recognize my face, they would assume that I am Suguru Geto himself. So, it made me curious about how would these cursed spirits could possibly know who I really am. I asked, "How do you know who I am?" Mahito replied, "Like we said, we had been in hiding for a long time. So, we had been watching events unfold since ancient times. For that reason, we know about your true identity, Kenjaku." It made sense to me now, they had gained wisdom before they took form. They had been observing the world for a long time, so naturally I had caught their attention since ancient times. "I see. So, what do you need my help with?" I asked the cursed spirits. Jogo replied, "To be blunt, we are planning to replace humanity." I was curious about what he meant by that and asked, "What do you mean, replace humanity?" Mahito began explaining, "Humans are practically made of lies, every positive and emotion they show, there's always flipside. But, negative emotions like hatred and hostility are truths without falsehoods. Since we curses are born from those raw, true emotions, that makes us true, pure beings. Imitations should be eliminated, and that's what we want to do. Eradicate humanity and replace the population with cursed spirits." I replied, "Yet, at the moment, you're the ones getting eliminated." Jogo then stated, "And that's why we've come to you, how do we defeat the jujutsu sorcerers?" I was honestly intrigued by the goal they were striving for, so I decided to help them out. "Well for starters, you will need to fulfill two conditions." I stated. Jogo asked, "What are these conditions?" I replied, "The first involves the strongest sorcerers. You must somehow render Satoru Gojo and the 8 Demon Gods incapable of fighting. The second is to get Ryomen Sukuna on your side." Mahito asked, "The 8 Demon Gods? The new group of sorcerers who fought in the Night Parade own their own?" I nodded and replied, "Yes, and each one has defeat nearly 500 Special Grade Cursed Spirits alone. If I had to make a conservative estimate, each of them are on Satoru Gojo's level, or at least close to it." The four curses were clearly unnerved by what I said and Jogo asked, "Satoru Gojo and the 8 Demon Gods? If they are that powerful, then we probably couldn't kill them even if we all fought them together, huh?" I replied, "True, you would never succeed if you fought them alone. However, I have an idea that would increase your chances by a good margin." The cursed spirits gave me their attention and Mahito asked, "What do you have in mind, Kenjaku?" I answered, "Long story short, we'll need a whole nation on our side."

  At Spade Kingdom's capital

  After Kenjaku agreed to help us, he brought us to the capital of Spade Kingdom. He explained that the current rulers, the Dark Triad, had an above average level of cursed energy, so it would allow them to see me and my friends. Though I had to ask Kenjaku something before we arrived at the castle, "Kenjaku, I've been curious for a while now. Of all the countries, why pick Spade Kingdom to be our ally?" He answered, "Because, the Dark Triad's objective is more beneficial for us." I was puzzled by what he meant by that, but before I ask, he said, "I'll explain when we meet the Dark Triad." At that point, we had arrived at the front gate of Spade Kingdom's castle. The guards sternly said to Kenjaku, "Halt! What business do you have here!?" He replied, "I wish to have an audience with the Dark Triad, there is something important I need to discuss with them." Before the guard could reply, a voice from the other side of the gate asked, "And what would that be?" We all turned to see a black haired man with black markings running down and across his face, standing there. "There's group plotting to challenge your authority here in Spade Kingdom." I saw what he was going to do, he was going to give the Dark Triad the false assumption that the sorcerers we're going to take them down in order to convince them to fight them. The man narrowed his eyes and looked toward the four of us. He asked Kenjaku, "What are these things with you?" The guards seemed confused by what he said and one of them asked, "I'm sorry Lord Zenon, but what do you mean? I don't see anything." The man named Zenon was the one who looked confused. Kenjaku then asked him, "So, you can see them? That would make explaining the situation easier." Zenon asked, "How come the guards can't see them?" Kenjaku explained, "Normal people can only see their kind when their on the verge of death, or in special places." Zenon looked like he was curious about what we were and asked, "Can you make them visible to the soldiers so that there won't be any confusion?" Kenjaku nodded and raised two fingers and chanted,

  "Emerge from darkness, blacker still. Purify that which is impure."

With that, a Veil began to encompass the entire castle grounds. The guards looked in our direction and we're startled, this showed that they were now able to see us. Zenon then ordered the guards, "Let them in, my siblings and I would like to hear what they have to say." We smiled and I replied, "Thank you for giving us the chance." Zenon then gestured for us to follow him and so we went inside. 'It seems that everything will go smoothly from here on out' I thought.

To Meeting Room

We were in the meeting room of Spade castle with the Dark Triad, and after some introduction, Kenjaku explained everything about the Jujutsu Community, Curses, and what our goal is. The Dark Triad seemed intrigued by what he told them and Zenon replied, "This is quite a lot to take in, but overall it is indeed a big problem for us. Dante, what do you think about all this?" His brother, a man with black, slicked back hair wearing a crown, Dante answered, "I'm quite interested in Jujutsu, and these 8 Demon Gods sound like they would entertain me quite a lot." Their sister, a black haired woman with an eye patch over her right eye, Vanica agreed with Dante, saying it would be fun. Kenjaku then stated, "While I like your enthusiasm, none of you are capable of fighting the sorcerers on equal footing at present. Not anywhere close to that level." They all looked at him and Kenjaku continued, "Only a curse can beat a curse. Even if you have a devil's magic, it still wouldn't give you an edge against them. Magic has no effect on Cursed Energy. However, if you were to learn to use Jujutsu, your chances against a sorcerer would increase by a lot." Zenon asked, "Why are you telling us all this? What would you gain from helping us?" His question was a valid one, no one would be willing to go out of their way to help someone for nothing. "I heard about what you are planning. To open the Underworld's Gates and set devils loose on the human world via the Tree of Qliphoth." They were surprised that Kenjaku knew about their plan, and he continued, "I have informants in every country, so I know when something big is going to happen. You asked me why I'm helping you? It's because your plan is quite beneficial to us." The Dark Triad was confused by his answer and Dante asked, "How do?" Kenjaku replied, "If Devils begin flooding into the human world, not only would humanity would be driven to the brink of extinction, but the numerous negative emotions that would consume the population would give birth to a great number of Cursed Spirits. At that point, the Age of Curses would just be a step away." My group knew that he was right, the human world being overrun with devils would definitely prove beneficial to our ultimate goal. And after humanity is wiped out, we can just work on exterminating the devils if we need to. In other words, working with the Dark Triad would be the most efficient way to reach our objective.

  Dante and Vanica laughed and Dante replied, "How interesting?! Very well, we will graciously accept your help, Kenjaku." Vanica asked, "How long until we would be ready to fight the Demon Gods and this Gojo?" "Normally, it would take three years to full train a sorcerer, but I believe we can do it about half the time or less. Remember, the 8 Demon Gods had each defeated more than 1,200 cursed spirits in one day, and among those 1,200, there were close to 500 Special Grades. Just one Special Grade Cursed Spirit is ten times stronger than the Clover Kingdom's Wizard King, and that's on average." That statement only bolstered their excitement more and Dante replied, "That just makes the thought of fighting them even more exciting. So, when do we begin the training?" I decided to answer that question this time, "Tomorrow morning, it's gonna be very rough so be sure to rest up."

  Dante adjourned the meeting and order the Spade soldiers to escort Kenjaku and the Cursed Spirits to the guest chambers. But, little did they know, they were being watched by two different people, each unaware of the other. One was a man with long, black hair tied in a ponytail, and the other was a figure with cylinder shaped head, and four eyes. They both knew that if the Dark Triad and Cursed Spirits succeed in their plan, humanity would be erased from existence.
