Chapter 13: Preparing for War

(Asta's p.o.v.)

After 3 years, me and Liebe have finally finished our training at jujutsu academy, and are now full fledged jujutsu sorcerers. While we have graduated, we, like other sorcerers, continued to use the academy as a base. With our graduation, we were officially able to meet the higher-ups, the elders who manage the jujutsu world, and we would receive our missions directly from them.

We had just return from a mission, and we saw that the academy had been attacked. We rushed to see if any of the other sorcerers were still okay, and we saw that some of them were killed, some were badly injured, and some only had minor wounds. We had to find out what happened so me and Liebe walked up to a senior sorcerer and asked what happened. The sorcerer said, "We were attacked by a group of curse users, led by Suguru Geto." Geto was Gojo's former classmate and best friend from when he was a student at the academy. He had a curse technique that allowed him to control, absorb, and gain the abilities of curse spirits, a very unique and deadly ability. After we heard about what had happened, Principle Yaga came along covered bandages. He said to us, "Asta, Liebe, the higher-ups said they wanted you to see them as soon as you both got back. Head to the meeting room immediately." We nodded and made our way to see the higher-ups. We arrived at the meeting room and went inside to see that the elders have all gathered. Liebe and I greeted them and they explained why they called us. "Good, you both arrived. We called you here in regards to the recent attack on jujutsu academy. Have you heard from the other sorcerers about who attacked?" We said, "Yes, sir. We have." They continued, "Well, before the attackers left, their leader Suguru Geto, announced his plan to slaughter all non-sorcerors around the world, and he plans to start by destroying all four nations on this continent." We were surprised by the news that elders told us, but there was something we couldn't understand. We asked, "Did Geto say how he planned to accomplish that? I mean, even if he leads a group of curse users, it would still take an army to commit a genocide of that scale." The higher-ups replied, "That's exactly right, Asta. Geto said that he would send an army of curse spirits to each of the 4 nations' capitals, each army numbering in the thousands." What they just told us was an even bigger shock than hearing Geto's plan for genocide. They continued, "Unfortunately, most of our veteran sorcerers are either killed or too injured to fight, and it's for this reason we called for you two. You both know the strength of your fellow classmates and upperclassmen better than anyone else, so gather any of them who are able to fight and head out to fight Geto's armies. They will reach the capitals in 6 months, so move swiftly." We both said," Understood, sirs." We turned around and headed out to find any of the students who could still fight.

After about 2 hours of searching, we found 6 others who were strong enough to fight off the curse spirits, they were:

Special Grade - Yuta Okkotsu

Grade 1- Megumi Fushiguro

Grade 1 - Kokichi Muta

Special Grade - Yuji Itadori

Grade 1 - Aoi Todo

Grade 2 - Nobara Kugisaki

These six, along with me and my brother, were about go up against four armies of curse spirits, which any number of them could be special grade. But, we were ready to fight and  defeat these enemies of humanity.

We began discussing, the plan on how we would take care of all those curses. I said, "Well, the best way to handle this is to pair off and head to each country's capital. Each pair will have to be sorcerers who can work well with each other." The others nodded and we paired up with the person we work best with. Me and Liebe, Yuji and Todo, Fushiguro and Nobara, and Yuta and Kokichi. After we teamed, all that was left was to choose which team will go where. "Asta and Liebe should go to Clover Kingdom's capital, since it was their homeland." Kokichi suggested which I very much didn't like, "Not happening, I'm not going back shit hole of a country, and besides I'm still in exile. If I go back they'll just get arrested and then the whole plan goes to hell." I sternly said. "He's right, the clover kingdom's magic knights will just get in the way if Asta goes back." Yuji said. They all agreed with Yuji. " Asta and I will head to Heart Kingdom's capital." Liebe said. "Me and Kugisaki will go to Diamond Kingdom." Fushiguro said. "Kokichi and I will go to Spade." Yuta stated. "That means me and Todo heading for clover." Yuji said. "Alright everyone let's gear up and move out." I announced to the others. We headed to our rooms and packed our bags for the long trip.

The next day, we all headed out towards the future battlefields we would be fighting on.

It's been over 3 years since Asta was exiled by the Nobles and Royals. Many of the friends Asta had been torn up by news of his banishment, some were furious at the Magic Parliament, some were distraught that they would never see him again, and were so ashamed of themselves for not being able to help him, that they chose to forever leave the Clover Kingdom. Even the Wizard king was furious about Asta's exile, but also relieved that he was still alive. But the ones who were the most affected by his banishment were the Black Bulls, even Yami, who was such a tough guy, was very saddened by losing the one squad member he viewed as his pupil, but among them, it was Noelle who was hurt the most by losing her friend and maybe her first love.
