Domains weren't the way they are in the present. In fact, they were much standard techniques in the past. Many of the modern domains are 'Sure hit, sure kill', but back then they left out the 'sure kill' factor. You had to your own rule upon the target in your domain to allow for a 'sure hit.' But when sorcerers became drunk on the 'sure kill' method, the conditions for creating a domain were increased drastically. That is the reason why domains are such highly advanced techniques.

My domain leans more to the 'sure hit' category. I set a couple of rules for the domain, and to activate the technique, I had to explain the rules to even a certain extent. I said to the Special Grades, "Alright guys, listen up. In this arena, there are a few rules that you must abide. First, we can only fight hand to hand, meaning the use of cursed energy is prohibited to all of us. Second, if an opponent falls to the ground, they have only 5 seconds to get back up, or else they will die. Third, until your opponent is defeat, you cannot leave the domain." The reason I imposed those rules in my domain is because I was always better than most in sports and in fights, aside from Gojo and Asta, no one can beat me in close quarters combat. So, I knew if I fought the Special Grades while they can't use cursed energy, I would still win, injured or not.

After explaining the rules, I raised my fists and prepared for the fight to resume, but on my terms. The Special Grades charged four at a time, and blocked and countered every punch and kick they threw at me. Since Special Grades often have a humanoid form, the location of their pressure points are the same. I aimed for the point that would make them drop to the ground long enough for the domain to take effect. When a curse stayed on the ground for 5 seconds, spears rained down at the speed of lightning and pierced it's vital spots, in doing so, killing it. During the next half hour, I took out 115 Special Grades. The remaining cursed spirits tried mix things up by changing their attack patterns. Cursed spirits born in densely populated areas down just have greater cursed energy than rural areas, their more cunning as well. It was tricky but I managed to adapt quickly, and took down another 30 more. Among those 30, one tried to come at me from above, but I dodged it, and kicked it in the temple, enough to stun it. It couldn't get up before the spear struck it dead. Many of the Special Grades tried to flank me, they broke a few ribs, but I could still power through and bring them down. After another hour, I managed to bring the remaining 85 cursed spirits. When the last curse fell, the domain was released, and the surroundings returned to normal. By the time a defeated them all, I was covered in my own blood, a dozen of my bones either broken or crack, and I was so spent, I could barely keep myself conscious, let alone standing.

After my domain was released, I looked over to see how Todo was holding up. My vision was blurry, but I could still make out that he was almost finished exorcising the Special Grades. I see that he still had 5 more to kill, but he was just as injured as I was. I knew that he could keep it up much longer, so I came up with an idea. I drew my xiphos once more, and channel what's left of my cursed energy into it to activate the cursed tool's technique. The blade grew in width and length, long enough to reach all 5 of the remaining Special Grades. I ready my sword for a strike. I didn't warn Todo about what I was going to do, because knowing him, he already knew what was coming. I swung the sword horizontally and just before the blade made contact with the curses, Todo quickly hit the deck. The xiphos cut through all 5 of the remaining enemies, and their bodies vanished when they died. With that over, Todo limbed towards me. As soon as he was in front, he said, "You got rid of them on your end, huh?" I replied, "Yeah, I got them. Though I'm pretty beat up." Todo gave his own reply, "Me too. Damn, this has got to be the hardest battle we had to fight." I said, "Yeah, it was. That aside, do you have enough cursed energy left to heal our injuries?" He answered, "I think so, if I just heal our worst injuries then I should have enough for both of us." "Well, it's better than nothing I guess." Todo channeled cursed energy into his hand and placed it on me. I could feel the power coursing through me as my worst injuries were healed. Todo then healed his injuries. With our injuries healed, we took down the veil and just laid down on the ground and fell asleep. While we were out cold, we were apparently picked up by someone.

After searching for Asta for so long, the Wizard King sent me on a mission to give me a change of pace. Myself and and two other magic knights from different squads were heading back to report to the Wizard King, when stumbled across two men laying on the ground covered in blood. We went over to see if they were alright, and found that they just unconscious but still heavily wounded. "We should bring them back to so Owen can treat them." A pink haired witch said to me. I replied, "You're right, Vanessa. They need treatment. But first, let's contact him to let him know." "Right." A red haired royal said. He called Owen to let him know that we were bringing injured people to him. Vanessa used her magic to wrap up the two men in thread and to help carry them back to town. She said to me, "So Nero, have you turned up any leads on where Asta is?" I replied with a sad look, "No, still no clues." Vanessa gave me a reassuring smile and said, "Don't worry, we'll find Asta someday. We just have to keep looking." I smiled back and nodded. We then proceed with returning to the capital.
