A/N
Hello.
As many of you have been made aware, this story will be going through remastering as I feel like my writing has completely changed and I want to serve justice to this story.
I'll try to maintain the updates quick.
Don't be a plonker.
It breathed slowly, in and out. Like any other human would, though it spoke nothing — it thought nothing. The tallness was towering, daunting, and all it did was live. Singing against the wind.
Winds weren't so wild, despite the summer ending and knowledge of common British weather. But Belle didn't feel the need to question anything at all, not yet, anyway. All she wanted right now was to greet the tree.
I closed my eyes, hiding away from anything bright. Focus — I kept reminding.
Focus. Focus. Bloody focus.
But the sauntering laughter was too loud, too frustrating to shove aside, and it wasn't like I could charm the garden quiet. If I had that level of power, it would've shut away the entire world in a flicker.
Today was a day of celebration, for them, at least. But I never understood it, not with the way the world was currently.
How could people find happiness in something so dark and brooding? It was like calling he who shall not be named Santa Claus.
Months ago, Harry Potter was killed, confirmed by the high-lady of Malfoy Manor.
One of my closest friends. Dead by greenlight.
My family fled from Dunster Castle, later proclaimed as the headquarters for the Order.
Majority didn't understand at first, family and I hadn't expected them to, but instincts were right when a few months past and the place had been swarmed with Death Eaters. They took many as prisoners.
Afterwards, when they realised why they had to leave, the necessity of it — though not much was told for the sake of keeping Belle as un-traumatised than what I already was, people held their hands up and shed them farewell.
I still had many questions to pestering. About it and the extent of what it could do.
But knowing the way the world is now, a part of was thankful that I knew little.
