Draco's cheeks flared brightly against the Sun that hurled head through the curtains. Egging on the pinkishness of them twice as greatly, as though they were two shaven watermelons.

In return, he ushered a small laugh and whispered back the same way. As if he lost ten years of his life and became the same immature teen again. His chuckle alone encouraged the sun to melt the snow outside.

He leaned to her, coating his lips and she heard the shuffles of his lips as she spared her his secrets.

Tana spared an interesting look with those amber and gold flickering eyes, and beamed sneakish smile, where I hesitated to return, watching them both with utmost confusion.

He stood to his feet, then looked at the body resting on the grounds. A small chant of prayer escaped his lips. "May the energy writhe at heart to you."

Tana frowned as she watched him rest his waves of concern. Just as I had myself. Soon, the villagers ought to arrive. Ultimately determined it had been them for the murder and not the real perpetrator.

Ratman.

Vile, old, cruel, disgusting, Ratman.

"I must show you something, Draco Malfoy," Tana broke the silence.

Draco's brows furrowed and he refused to speak. Eager himself for her to continue. "Follow me." She whispered.

We traced her steps. An adventure galore. It was still early morn, birds had started their daily ballads and the snow had begun to cry from the clouds and rest a canopy on the hardene soils. Visionarily, I was clouded as my own breath condensed the heat and chill.

The silence was bassed. Thumping with each step we took. Avoiding the crunchy leaves, sadly. I wasn't sure where she was taking us, but perhaps it held its gratitude. I wouldn't exactly say no either. She had saved both of our lives.

It was owed to some extent.

"You're very pretty." Tana smiled, looking up at me with her rounded eyes.

My lips twitched. Taken by surprise at the abrupt compliment, I feathered a giggle.

Roofus followed at our feet. His smile was greater than any of the residents combined. Trodding from side to side, his ears flopped against gravity and tongue stuck out of the side of his mouth, iridescent with glory.

"T-Thank you." Is all I could say.

Still, I wasn't used to compliments. Never had been. Draco hadn't had his fair share of practice either. There were times where he was still as cold as the snow, yet his mind would aflame. He was an airbender of all elements that bounded against one another.

It was the only control he couldn't tie down. Emotions.

And although we had recently encountered coitus, there were still a few shades inside me that were aghast to the idea that he didn't truly care for me. Not in the way I did, at least.

Purely fit for that purpose.

Truly brilliant never meant truly infatuated. And beautiful, never meant everlasting.
