- BELLE -
In bloom.
My world manifested.
But everything that shunned colour seemed to disappear. It was a haze and the voices I heard were only a sombre of whispers.
Cries, there were. Pleas and bargains. Shuffling and the crispiness of shallow winds.
No crunchy leaves, no bark arching from tall trees - nothing rattled the ground. As if we were on sand or grass. But then again, there were no waves either. Not even salt fueled my senses.
It was like we were lost, somewhere.
Saying we - I could feel a pulse beside me. Even if my vision was utterly lost. It was all too familiar.
Like when we learn who walks down the stairs by the rhythm of their feet, I learned the same just by the pacing of their heart.
Draco stood somewhat close to me. However, for some reason, his heart was erratic. It wasn't calm at all. As if he suffered from cardiac arrest or utter shock.
Nevertheless it was hard to determine exactly what he was panicking about if I saw nothing.
My nervousness overwhelmed me and I knew that my hands began to shake. Not just out of trauma, but fear itself. Then another appeared, except theirs was complacent.
Their aura screamed enjoyment. Why was it so black and white? Why was one happy and one scared?
There was no time for questions - or more so what I told myself. Surprisingly, my mind was calm. It was only the thunder in my chest that rumbled audaciously.
Where I thought all would come to an end, my ears suddenly paused and the iridescent, patronising and absolute fearful scream launched itself into my ear canal.
But what worried me more was the word that screamed. Because it was Draco that bellowed it, and he screamed, 'No.'
Jolting awake, my eyes rapidly opened as if I had caught myself from falling in a dream. Breath completely rapid and disassembled, my mouth dried from the sweat alone.
Unfortunately, this sweat wasn't from the actions before; it still surprised me it happened to be fair. Never would have I ever thought I'd end up sleeping with Draco. Especially for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed.
My eyes lingered on the stalactites further down in the cave, where my head was angled. Beyond the shadows from the now non-existent fire which coughed out the last set of smoke.
I sat up and lurked around, craning my head from side to side and gawked at the emptiness.
The cracks from the fire were no more. I wasn't totally naked, still some bare clothes I had worn since our last encounter.
However I wasn't in my full winterous frocks. Oh no - it was too hot for that. It didn't startle me of course. But the surprising thing that had occured was the thin, tensed around that wrapped itself around my waist.
It reminded me of the safe house underneath the bridge back in Avoncliff. And my blush creeped in even more. Regardless of the fearful dream I had. It somewhat eased the discomfort within my skin.
But then his arm twitched, and he began to shuffle in his sleep which became obvious that he was rippling out of. Humming to himself softly, his eyes peeled open.
