- BELLE -

I want to admit the need. But I worry that if I do it nonchalantly, I will insite more fear inside my burning chest than there already was.

After shaving Draco's growing stubble until he was completely smooth skinned, we shared a prolonged kiss, maybe a quick fiddle beneath his belted slacks until we ate dinner and prepared for nightfall.

Hermione and Theo had been endlessly working on brewing potions, gathering herbs from what the cabin could offer to quicken healing for Blaise and Pansy. To their unfortunate circumstances, they didn't have it to help like I did.

And when the stars began to kiss the navy sky, I took the nature of it on the same log just before the shore, alone. The winds were delicate and the snow was compiled in clumps on the mud as the rising spring heat melted them into nothing but atoms.

Birds would soon return to the woods, deers would come out of their hiding ready for their freshened year and the sun would smile again. The winter that surpassed was intrusive. And the severity of it hadn't been justified.

I was just thankful that Draco and I managed to survive it on our own with minimal clothing and still keeping all of our limbs to its full function.

"Hope you don't mind me disturbing you." A deep voice echoed before a leaner figure to the empty space beside me on the log.

His heavily received pronunciation influenced tone made it clear who sat beside me. "Of course not." I smiled back at Blaise. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

We both overlooked the lake, still as stone with a few outstanding ruffles. Fish that jumped out to catch a gulp of air caused a ricochet of fireflies to disperse around. It was the only light beside the moon that the nature before wavered.

"Indeed it is." He confirms.

Silence welcomes.

But the question I want to ask, however, consumes me. It's reached the top of the list and before I can even decipher the best way to word it, I find the words tumbling out of my mouth as though it was vomit.

"You are a Death Eater for Voldemort." I drop my eyes to my lap where my trembling hands rest.

Blaise says nothing, but offers me a look to indicate for me to continue. "Does that mean you've spoken to Aurelia and Thomas?"

Followed by a jolt of cold breath, I can see him brushing the sweat off his palm on the bark. "Let me guess, you want to know where Thomas is?"

My head tilts, the pain hurdling off my throat. Of course everyone dearest to me made me churn. But if it hadn't been for my true family's sacrifice, I wouldn't have made it to the cabin in the first place. I would've never saved Draco's life. He would be Ghost forever and God forbid what kind of worldly chaos we would be in by now.

He sighs again.

"Thomas is safe." Blaise looks away at the tides, "Safe enough for Voldemort's care anyway. But I'm not quite sure how long he'll survive."

I want to ask for more information. And I need to know, but I'm not sure if knowing would be worse than knowing nothing at all. "He's torturing him, Belle. I don't know how to say that kindly."
