The frame before me refused to move. Not even an inch. And my patience was running thin.
He was just stood there, I could clearly hear him wincing in pain, hissing as his grip tightened around his abdomen but refused to usher a word.
I had to make sure his cut wasn't getting infected and I couldn't have him lose any more blood.
He had lost so much blood already.
His stubbornness proved more stronger than mine. I was like iron, he was steel. It was pettiness at its finest.
'Come on, please.' I begged, curling my fists and resting them at my hips as I nodded my nose towards the wooden dinner table. 'I'm not going to hurt you, you know?'
Still nothing.
He was completely silent, staring at me from underneath the hood of that cloak. Studying every single breath I took like a hawk.
But not even a second later passed before he stomped forward and pushed me forcefully aside.
His hands began to dig around in the first aid box like he was a pirate digging for gold. Scrambling creams, potions, healing gels. Stitch threads and needles.
My eyes widened, was his injury that bad?
Shuffling around more items, he filled his pockets.
'Excuse me! You can't just do that! I'm trying to help you here!'
'I don't want your fucking help.' The deep voice vastly growled. Scaring me more than it perhaps should.
I was expecting a deep, manly and slightly chaotic voice. But I wasn't expecting a deep voice.
His tone didn't sound too familiar. Then again, it could've been anyone since I still hadn't managed to look at their face.
It could be a squib for all I knew. Or a boggart.
And here I was, shamelessly letting it scrounge for my medical supplies which unfortunately enough - didn't fill back up like the food cupboards did.
'I saved your life, thank you very much.' I sarcastically added for his lack of acknowledgment. At least hoping it'd nab his attention.
Shocker. It didn't.
I was already beginning to regret saving this man. Or man child.
An arrogant and cocky, self centred prick; I just wanted to be nice, show some gratitude and help him tend his injuries.
But his pride was too high.
'I didn't need you to save my life.' He bluntly replied, causing me to scoff.
'You would've died out there if I didn't.'
Ignoring me, he turned his heels and began to exit the kitchen and down the hallways where the bedrooms and bathrooms were located.
Following him closely behind, I wouldn't let him get away with his rudeness and bluntness. 'Can I at least have your name?'
'I don't answer your fucking questions.' He wriggled a door open to a spare bedroom and fled inside.
'You just did?' I spat back as he slammed the door in my face. Beginning to pound on the door, I heard him shuffling around and curtseying what appeared to be a chair underneath the door handle.
