Dear my darling shadow and Belle, when I remember how we met, I told you how clear it was for me. How easy it was for me to love you. Because you are simply someone that is not hard to love.
We both admitted it in the end, how easy it was, how we knew right away that what we had, the connection we had was something special.
It was a gift from heaven that no magic, no Valkyrie, no soul or stars above could steal.
And as the months went by, minute by minute, there would be challenges we would have to face.
Too stubborn, we were in the end. Fights broke out, blood was shed and tears were exchanged. Kisses and hugs, love was made and I love you's expressed.
Sitting here today, I try to remember everything that made me smile. Anything that made you smile.
Because by far, your smile was the most gracious thing I had ever witnessed.
You are charismatic, brave, sentimental. A youth of butterflies that still pit in my stomach, especially when you take the lead.
It still sometimes infuriates me. But after being withheld for so long, I couldn't stop you. If I did, then I wouldn't forgive myself.
Whenever you entered the room, all eyes would shoot at your presence. And you wouldn't even need to make your greetings.
I hear her, as my world fades into darkness, I hear her and I feel her. Just like I feel you when you touch my shoulder.
She calls me dada.
Isn't that sweet?
Oh how the world has done us over. But at least I'm with you now. Forever and beyond.
Death tried to do us part. But I refused to let go.
And as my wife, the mother of my child–
I love you.
I love you. I love you. I love you.
Only you.
All I can say is I'm sorry.
Because when I say I want to finish the story the good way, it seems like it was another lie that slipped my tongue.
But clearly, some things must come to an end. A future better intended, it was not something that earth itself could give. And for that, I'm more sorry.
For us, our story starts right where it finishes.
The Cabin.
