TW: Toxic Draco

Finally gathering up the courage, I wiped the angst from my tear stained cheeks. Taking a deep breath and rose to my feet.

Continuous clinks of cutlery against china glass echoed within the small cabin. It was uncomforting how two people could reside yet the atmosphere still remained eerie.

How one person can completely flip the polarity from positive to negative. Strip all innocence with one demeanour. And look so virtuous doing so.

I slowly walked out of the room, down the hallway and into the main area where the kitchen lay to my left and the living room to my right.

Almost as if nothing strange had just happened, completely disassociated from the danger this man vibrated - he swallowed my breakfast.

Yet I couldn't help myself but gawk.

He was just there. Sat in just his underwear. Looking bored of my company. Ignoring my presence.

'Staring is impolite.' Draco deeply sighed, not moving his eyes from the plate.

My throat bobbled, the compartmanship to utter out a sentence gone. Shrivelled to dust as it abruptly dried.

'Are you here to kill me?' I asked, ignoring his statement and continued to watch him carefully. My hands fisted in anticipation.

Still his gaze never lifted, instead, he smirked at the almost empty plate, eating the last few bits of egg, 'Is this an interrogation?

'Answer the question.' I hissed back causing him to stop. His evil smirk was still somewhat present but the second he erected his head at me, I lightly stepped back.

Just the pure hatred in his aura was enough to make my hairs stand up. Feeling more than threatened, I remained my weight on my heels and not my toes.

I had to be ready to run just in case.

Those frozen eyes, throwing curses and hexes; the veins in his hands tensing. 'Since when do you stand up for yourself?'

The awkward question drew my brows together. And he noticed my puzzlement as he swallowed his last mouthful, humming in delight.

'You used to always be so quiet in class. I just wonder what happened.' He shrugged mindlessly.

'I don't answer to you. You're in my cabin, using my medical supplies, eating my breakfast so you tell me, are you here to kill me?' My voice more stern now.

Draco stood from the chair, walking towards me as his chest hardened. The stitched injury snarking back at me - wince free.

'Don't you think that if I were here to kill you, I wouldn't have done it already?' He lowly replied, causing me to scowl.

He was right, however. Surely he would've done it by now and kept the cabin to himself by now. Especially if he went back in the middle of the night to scramble for more.

The door to my bedroom may have been locked but with his strength I wouldn't put it past him to flick it with his finger and it'd bust open.

'Your manners are awfully terrible, Belle. Never make such assumptions to your guests.' He winked and there was nothing more I wanted to do that jab that fork there instead.
