"Belle?" His voice asks, muse curling on the expression as though I looked at him funny.
Although he only spoke of my name, he said it as if it were weightless. Where there was no burden or insignificance in saying it. Quite surprising from the mere couple of hours we had previously.
I raised my head, look at his un-murderous self and noticed his smirk. That smirk that screamed 'I'm the devil.' yet 'I'm incredibly handsome.' at the same time. And I couldn't fight which one I enjoyed more.
I wouldn't let him hear my thoughts. Those are far too intense for my own admittance.
Cold looks of his completely melting its iceberg of contumaciousness. "What?" I say back, a little more blunt than I originally wanted to flay.
His head cocked forward at the pile of rope and bent sticks intertwined with my fingers. Some borderline snapping, the woven ropes were worn and I had around three blisters on the calluses of my palms.
Smirk growing; Draco curled his tongue on the innards of his cheek as he bit on the laugh that threatened his throat.
"What is it?" I ask again, now unable to hide my pout.
Looking at the snare in my hands, I knew it was poorly built - it was my first time. But how was I supposed to know better when the only teacher I had wouldn't stop giggling at everything I did wrong.
Lucky for him- I found his face nice to look at.
I still wanted to slap him, however.
Draco shook his head, shoulders vibrating as though the ground beneath us began to crack, he faced his own snare that he twisted, "Nothing."
The interlocked moppet drops and a sharp scoff shoots out of my nose, "Right, this is my first time doing this you know? I'd love to see you curate the difference between Gillyweed and Kaiso."
However, my outburst had fed his entertainment where his laugh became breathless and cloudy puffs of air pistoled out of his lips.
"Kaiso actually tastes nice, McGarrishen." Draco's hot breath fans my cheek as he waltzes past me, setting down his snare on the ground.
He raised after he finished tying the ends, "And I don't turn into a fish when eating it." He says in confidence.
Our faces inches apart and fire has claimed my cheeks. I couldn't even turn away fast enough to hide it from him. They were no longer radiators. They were volcanic eruptions.
Planets of Mars and Venus combined. The settlers of the sun. A nuclear fusion that explodes if handled incorrectly.
"Shove off, Malfoy."
Draco shrugs, "I'm sure there's something you can teach me, someday."
My eyes instantly roll and the words fall out of my mouth as if I had taken too many swigs, "Teaching humility to an egotistical prat is impossible. You're asking pigs to fly."
