Meltdown over. Hi. Please excuse.

The journey home is bittersweet. Like the perfect bar of chocolate.

Actually, it was the worst.

The one where it costs five knuts and is wrapped in clear plastic.

It melts in your mouth where at first it makes your face twitch at the tartiness. But I'm horrified, if anything. So something so awful turns into an unripened grapefruit. It's even worse than worse.

Catastrophe.

Heck - it'd be like mushrooms. Raw or cooked - it didn't matter.

Just- blegh.

And the silence only added to that sinister feeling. Few whimpers and sniffles here and there from a Tana who had been cradled in the arms of Blaise, calmly soothing her with whispers of ease.

However, Tana seems unbothered, unscathed, as hard as limestone. She stares at Draco with rounded eyes as we fly back.

Tana was in safety now and the last interaction they had was mutual. So why does she look like he would slice her throat in a matter of seconds?

The silence is finally broken.

"How much longer do you think it'll be?" Blaise gives Tana a concerned look, "She's freezing up here."

"Not much longer, maybe five minutes." Draco confirms, looking ahead. "We've just passed the city of Bath."

Fulgur notices the concern and begins to vibrate electricity around its wings. And although no bolts attack us, it does warm the scales of his skin a little which causes Tana to stop chattering her teeth.

Finally, I can see a small smile appear on her cheeks. Fulgur huffs a sneeze in return.

He'd be expecting a few copper ores when we get home.

Once we begin to descend, the cabin comes to light from the wall of clouds above. The snow has completely melted, leaving puddles of wet mud in different areas, some more concentrated than others.

The trees were still hairless, but the breeze and firestorm of ice had come to a stop where the sun ordered it away.

"Come on, doll." Blaise mumbles, holding his arms out to catch her once we've hit the ground. "I'll catch you."

As she slides down with a soft humph, she takes her time to look around the scenery.

It almost makes me want to laugh. From the very start of this whole shenanigans, the only rule I had to follow was to not let anyone cross the border. To never let any strangers see the place.

Now it's the temporary secret hideout of the Order.

"Do you like it?" I ask the little girl, her fluffed black mane bounces as she turns her head to face me and offers a smile.

Nodding, she mumbles, "It's pretty."

However, the smile is only short lived. Eyes catching behind me, her face becomes stone cold.

And as I turn, I almost hiss at myself for asking such a question where my spine had unintentionally hidden the two recently assembled graves. Both had flower crowns charmed on the crosses, one in white daisies and the other in red leaves and twigs.
