Chapter Twenty-Five

I was woken up at 5am by an extremely loud and annoying alarm. I immediately slammed it with my fist. I rolled over to see Sarah sitting on the edge of the bed.

I sat up and stretched my stiff body.

"Morning" I said sleepily.

"Good morning princess" she said in a cheery voice.

I do not know how she is so cheery, I am tired and just want to go back to bed but we had a plane to catch so I climbed out of bed and headed straight towards the bathroom.

After washing my face in freezing cold water I finally felt awake enough to change into a pair of grey sweatpants and a black tank top. I slipped on a pair of black flats and a purple hoodie.

"There's a fresh pit if coffee and some fruit downstairs" Sarah said kissing my cheek.

"Sounds good, I'm starving" I smiled.

I followed Sarah down to the kitchen and immediately poured myself a cup of coffee. I sat down at the table and put some fruit into a bowl. I quickly ate before returning back upstairs to grab the suitcases while Sarah ate.

"When your ready to go babe" I said.

I walked into the kitchen and put the dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

"Ready" she said gulping down the rest of her coffee.

We packed the car and headed to the airport.

We finally arrived at the airport. We got it and loaded our luggage into a cart and made our way to check in.

Once we were all checked in we made our way to the gate. There was still an hour until our flight left so we browsed the stores.

After a while we finally heard our flight being called so we hurried over to the gate.

Once we were on the plane and comfortable in our seats we sat patiently and waited for the plane to leave.

After a lengthy 12 hour flight we finally arrived in Honolulu. After getting our luggage we headed straight to the hotel and got settled in. As soon as we settled in her cousin called to tell us she was taking us out to dinner. I quickly showered and got ready, it was warm so I slipped on a short purple dress and a pair of black heels.

After we were both dressed we headed to the lobby of the hotel to meet her cousin. Her cousin was absolutely gorgeous, she looked a lot like Sarah apart from the face that she had red hair. Sarah quickly introduced me to her and we walked into the hotel restaurant. I swept my hair out of my face. We ordered food and sat chatting while we waited.

Her cousin was very curious about us and asked how we met and little things, at least we didn't have to lie about how we met since technically we met before she was my teacher.

I allowed Sarah to tell the story and just shyly nodded with what she was saying. I could feel my cheeks heating up as she went into details about our first date. I grabbed her hand and tangled my fingers with hers.

"I love you" I whispered.

I looked around the restaurant when my eyes caught someone dressed in a grey suit. I stared for a moment, before noticing it was the principle of my school.

"Sarah, look over there" I discretely said while gesturing to the man.

"Shit" She said quite loudly.

I excused myself from the table and headed towards the bathroom. I couldn't be seen with Sarah, we both had a lot to lose if anyone found out. I sent Sarah a text telling her that if he doesn't leave soon, that we should leave.

Moments later she replied telling me that he had already left, feeling relieved I made my way back to the table. 

A few moments later our food arrived. We got back into deep conversation as we ate. After dessert and a few drinks with her cousin we headed back to our room. I stripped off my clothes and slipped into a pair of shorts and a tank top before crawling into jed next to Sarah.

"He wasn't with his wife" she randomly blurted out.

"Mr Newman?" I asked.

"Yes, that girl wasn't his wife and I distinctly remember him telling everyone that he was going on vacation with his wife" she said confusion and curiosity filling her sleepy voice.

"Let's just forget about it" I said nuzzling my head into the crook of her neck.

"I love you" she said wrapping her arms around my waist.

"I love you too" I replied.

Moments later I fell asleep.
