Keeping you a secret

Chapter Ten

I woke up at 8am and went straight into the bathroom and had a nice hot shower.

I got out of the shower, changed into my clothes before doing my hair and make up. Once I was finished I looked in the mirror. Pleased with my look I slipped on my black flats, grabbed my phone and bag and went downstairs.

I pulled a fruit salad out of the fridge. I quickly at my food before grabbing my keys and headed to my car. I got in and was about to started the car and headed to Sarah's house.

I pulled up outside her house and got out of the car. I looked around before walking up to the front door and knocking.

"Hello" I was greeted by a pretty red head.

"I'm here to pick up Sarah" I smiled.

"Come in" she smiled.

I walked inside and the girl walked off down the hall. A few moments later Sarah walked out and greeted me.

"Shall we?" She giggled opening the front door.

I stepped outside and we made our way down to my car. We got in and headed to the zoo.

After a short twenty minute drive we had arrived at the zoo. We got out of the car and made our way to the entrance. I paid for the tickets and we entered the zoo.

I looked around for a moment before grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the lions. I stood there in awe and I looked at them play. The cubs were small and they chased each other around while the older lions sat on rocks the relaxing in the sun.

"Such amazing creatures" I smiled.

"Let's go look at other animals now" Sarah smiled.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me around the park.

By the time we had stopped and looked at all of the animals it was nearly closing time so we headed towards the exit.

"I had fun today" I smiled as we finally got back to my car.

"Me too" she replied.

"Wanna grab something to eat before we head home?" I asked.

"How about you come over to my house for dinner? My housemate is a chef and cooks amazing food" she told me.

"Sounds great" I smiled getting into the passengers seat of my car.

Sarah got into the drivers seat and we set off back to her house.

Twenty minutes later we were pulling up in her driveway.

Sarah and I got out and went inside.

"We're back" Sarah called out to her friend.

"Is your friend staying for dinner red haired girl asked Sarah.

"Yep" she smiled.

"Well dinner is nearly ready" the girl replied.

"Oh I almost forgot, my name is Stacey" the girl smiled.

"I'm Taylor" I returned the smile.

She smiled again before dashing back to the kitchen. Sarah walked towards the table and I followed.

There were some plates and cups already set out on the table. Sarah grabbed another set of plates and cutlery and set a spot right at the end of the table.

"Sit down" she said pulling out a seat for me.

I sat down and Sarah grabbed the wine from the chiller and poured some into each glass.

"Dinners ready" Stacey said placing the food on the table.

"It looks amazing" I smiled.

"There's chicken, potato, gravy, salad and mixed veggies" she smiled gesturing for us the dig in.

I grabbed a chicken breast and put some salad on my plate.

Once we had finished eating dinner Stacey bought out a beautiful cheesecake for dessert. She cut a slice each and we sat down to eat.

"This is delicious" I said.

"Thanks" Stacey smiled.

Once we had finish eating it was already dark outside. I said my goodbyes and headed home. When I got home I was greeted by my mum.

"How was the zoo?" She asked.

"It was good" I smiled.

"Do you have everything ready for school tomorrow?" She asked taking a sip of her tea.

"Yep, I just need to find something to wear" I replied.

"Okay well it's getting late so you might want to get some sleep" she smiled.

I looked down at my phone noticing it was nearly 9:30pm. I ran to my room and went for a cold shower.

By the time I got out it was already 10pm. I quickly dried off and got into my pyjamas.

I then went to my closet to find something to wear to school. I took out a pair of black high waisted denim shorts and a nice dark purple t-shirt. I hung them up before turning in the air conditioner and crawling into bed.
