Chapter Six

Two weeks later.

I woke up next to Sarah on the beach. The sun was just rising and the smell of the ocean breeze filled my lungs. I look over to Sarah who was just opening her eyes.

"It's beautiful" I say smiling looking at her then at the sun rising in the distance.

The beautiful purple sky slowly faded to an orange and pink one as the sun began rising in the horizon. Not wanting to miss such a beautiful opportunity I grab my camera out if my bag, removing the lenses before bringing it up to my face. I snapped the camera several times as the sun slowly rose in the sky, the light now dancing on the water.

I finally bring my camera down and put it away.

"Sarah" my voice filled the silent air.

"Yes" she smiled.

"I leave tomorrow morning and I know you're leaving in a few hours, well I was wondering" I stopped, trying to build up my courage.

"We've had a great time these last few weeks" I stop again.

She sweetly smiles before pecking my lips.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask, trying to cover my blushing cheeks.

"Yes" she smiled leaning in and kissing my lips.

I felt a small smile appear on her lips which were still pressed firmly against mine.

"I have to go pack my stuff and have a shower, I'll meet you at 11 at the café down the street, we can grab something to eat before I leave" she said helping my to my feet.

"Okay" I smile, grabbing her waist, pulling her closer to me. I pecked her lips.

"See you soon" she said grabbing her stuff and heading towards her car.

I grabbed my stuff and slowly walked down the street to my hotel. Finally reaching the building I head upstairs to my room. I slam the door shut before entering the bathroom.

I ran the water allowing it to trickle through my fingers as it warmed up. Taking off my sand covered clothes I stuffed the into the washing machine and turned it on.

I stepped under the warm water, immediately grabbing a sponge, scrubbing my skin to remove any sand from it. Satisfied that there was no sand left I washed my hair, after completely rinsing off I turned off the taps and exited the shower, wrapping a freshly washed towel around my body.

I put on a black bra and the undies to match, before rummaging through my packed suitcases, finally pulling out my black high waisted denim shorts and a dark purple tank top. I put on my clothes before retreating back to the bathroom, shoving my wet clothes into the dryer.

I grabbed my hair dryer thoroughly drying my hair before putting on my make up. I looked up and down at myself in the mirror, satisfied with my appearance I slip into a pair of black flats. I pick up my phone noticing it was nearly 11am I grab my keys and bag and head out the door.

I walk down the surprising quiet street until I reached the café. Noticing Sarah was already there I walked towards her.

A smile crept onto my face as she stared up at me.

"Hey" I said sitting down opposite her.

"Hey gorgeous" she said causing my cheeks to flush.

She stared straight into my eyes. She looked so natural and beautiful. I quickly grab my camera trying to be as discreet as possible not wanting her expression to change. I took the lens cover off quickly held the camera up an snapped a photo before she had any time to react.

"Hey" she laughed playfully.

"What, I didn't want to miss the opportunity" I laugh.

She rolled her eyes playfully before reaching for a menu.

"What looks appetising to you?" I ask her.

"A hot mocha and a piece of chocolate cake with ice cream" she smiled.

"I'll be right back" I smiled hurrying inside to place the order.

There wasn't anyone else in here so I got my order fairly quickly.
I sit back down in front of Sarah placing her order in front of her. I sat my mocha frappe and chocolate brownies down in front of me.

"So when do you get back?" She asks tilting her head.

"Thursday night" I smile.
"Can I take you out Friday?" She asked.

"Only if you don't mind taking me shopping for school books" I laugh.

"Sounds like fun" she laughed sweetly.

"It's a date" I smile playfully.

We sat and talked a while longer, Sarah looks down at her phone.

"I have to go" she pouted.

I walked her to her fully packed car. I grabbed her waist and pecked her lips.

"Text me when you have a chance" I smile, pulling away from our kiss.

"You can count on it" she says pulling me in for another kiss before getting into her car.

"I'll see you Friday" I smile.

"I'll miss you" she pouts.

"I'll miss you too" I say with a smile.

With a quick wave she left. I sighed silently before heading back to my hotel. I miss her already.

Entering my hotel room, I make sure my things are packed and I crawl into the bed, even though it's just after one I close my eyes and before long I had fallen asleep with my phone in my hand.

A few hours later I was woken up to my phone buzzing. Looking at the screen, it was Sarah, but before I unlocked my screen the photo of us suddenly caught my attention.

Snapping out of my thoughts I opened the message. Hey babe, you awake? I read silently. Hey beautiful, I hope your out of the car stretching, I don't want anything happening to you. I replied.

We sent messages to each other for about half an hour before she informed me she was heading back out onto the road and that she would text me later.

Within minutes of my eyes being closed I was fast asleep.
