Keeping you a secret

Chapter Twenty-Three

I woke up feeling really sick, I climbed out of bed and raced to the toilet and threw up.

"Lacey" I called out.

"Are you okay?" She said pulling my hair into a ponytail.

"I don't think I can go to school today" I told her.

I went back into my room, handed Lacey my car keys and told her to grab my homework.

I went to the kitchen and got a vitamin water and went straight back to bed. I went back to sleep.

I woke up a few hours later feeling a lot better. I checked my phone and found multiple text messages and missed calls from Sarah.

I opened the messages, are you sick too? I replied telling her I was sick as well.

She popped over and we talked and cuddled for an hour before she had to leave. Once she had left I went for a quick shower and started on my maths assignment. I finished it just as Lacey walked into my room with her notebooks and a pile of homework.

I got out my notebooks and copied down the notes.

"What do you want to do this afternoon?" I asked Lacey.

"I was planning on going to the beach" she smiled.

"Okay, give me like twenty minutes" I told her.

I put on my black bikini and a pair of shorts and slipped on a blue see through top. It was really warm out which meant it was perfect sun baking weather. I met Lacey downstairs and we headed to the car.

After about half an hour we finally arrived at the beach.

I got out and went down towards the water. I froze when I saw Stacey and Sarah playing frisbee with their dog max. I tried to back away quickly but before I knew it Lacey was by my side.

"Hey look it's Miss Miller" Lacey said.

"So it is" I replied.

"Ooh is that her girlfriend?" She said pointing to Stacey.

"I don't think so" I laughed.

"I don't know they look pretty close" she replied.

"Maybe they're sisters or best friends" I said.

"Maybe, but I doubt it" Lacey said.

I walked over a bit away from Sarah and laid down my towel. I took off my shorts and shirt and laid down on my back.

After a few moments I felt something hit my legs. I sat up quickly to see a red frisbee sitting beside my legs followed by max. Stacey and Sarah ran over to us. My heart was beating fast as max jumped all over me. Lacey just stared at me and Sarah and Stacey just stood there. I scratched max behind the ear and he licked my face.

After a few minutes Lacey stopped staring at me and began glaring at Sarah suspiciously.

"Come on max" Stacey said.

He finally left my side and followed them back to where they were playing.

"The dog seemed to like you" Lacey said.

I smiled at her and laid on my stomach.

After a while the sun was beginning to set so we headed home.

As soon as we got home I went for a shower to remove the sand from my hair and body.

I got out and changed into a singlet and a pair of shorts and went downstairs to eat. I made a simple garden salad and piled it onto a plate. I sat down and ate.

Once I finished eating I did the dishes and went to my room. I finished the rest of my homework and climbed into bed.

I read for awhile until I fell asleep.
