Keeping you a secret

Chapter Nine

I woke up feeling refreshed. I looked over at my clock, it was 9am I still had an hour to shower, find something to wear and eat.

I jumped out of bed and went straight into the bathroom to shower. I allowed the warm water run over my body.

I got out of the shower and wrapped my towel around my wet body. I went into the bathroom and returned to my room. I searched through my closet until I found a light pink tank top and a tight black short skirt. I threw my clothes on and slipped on a pair of plain black flats.

After drying my hair and putting on my make up I ran downstairs to eat breakfast. Once I had finished my food I sent a text to Sarah with my address and washed my dishes.

A few minutes later there was a knock on the door.

"You ready?" Sarah asked leaning against the doorframe.

"One sec" I replied before running to my room to get my bag.

I walked back to the door and we headed off.

Once we arrived at office works we got out. We both grabbed a small trolley and headed inside.

We walked around the shop with our lists in our hands.

"Once we are done here did you want to get lunch?" I asked as we headed towards the check out.

"Sure, I'm starving" she smiled rubbing her tummy.

Once we had paid for our stuff we left and we headed to an Italian restaurant in the next town over.

We were seated straight away and we ordered our food.

We ate and talked for a while before we headed home.

I dropped Sarah off at her house and headed back to mine. Once I arrived home I grabbed my bags out out of the car and went inside. I went straight up to my bedroom and sorted everything out so that I could spend my last day with Sarah.

Once I had put everything into my new school bag I went downstairs to greet my mum as she came home from work.

"How was your day mum?" I asked.

"It was fine, there is someone out in the driveway waiting for you" she told me.

I walk outside to see my friend Lacey standing there next to her car.

"Hey" I smiled as I made my way over to her.

"Can you believe we have school on Monday" she laughed playfully.

"I know such a drag right?" I laughed.

"Did you want to come inside it's really hot out here?" I asked waving my hand in front of my face trying to cool down.

"Sure" she shrugged following me inside.

We talked for a while before Lacey left. I set the table for dinner and I say down with my mum to eat.

"So what are your plans for the last day before school?" My mum questioned.

"I'm not sure I might just hang out with some friends" I replied.

"Sounds like fun" she smiled.

We sat there and ate. After dinner I loaded the dish washer before heading to my room. I called Sarah.

"Do you wanna go to the zoo tomorrow?" she asked.

"Sure, sounds fun" I smiled.

I continued to talk to her for a while before hanging up. I texted her, then rummaged through my closet trying to find the perfect outfit. I pulled out a pair of purple denim shorts and a blue tank top. Hmm. I held it against my body before putting it back. I then spotted my leopard print skirt out of the corner of my eye. It is perfect for the zoo, I pulled out my black tank top and held it up. Perfect!

I put the clothes on the hook by the door and slipped out of my clothes and put on a pair of shorts and a sports bra.

I sighed as I put a movie in the DVD player and quickly ran downstairs and grabbed the tub of ultra chocolate Sara-Lee ice cream. I jumped back into my bed and pressed play.

Once the movie had ended I put the empty ice cream container in the bin near my desk and rolled over turned the air con on and went to sleep.
