The aroma of the many foods filled your scents. The many stands that lined the streets had food from many places around the world. In just the one street you had been walking on you saw a Ramen stand, a stand with Indian food, a stand with French food, and you even saw some classic American food.

You could feel the grip on your hand tighten as the blonde haired man next to you got more and more excited at the sight of all the food

"Woww!!! There's so much food here! Do you have anywhere you wanna go?"

"We can go wherever you want Mikey. It is your birthday." 

" Hmmmmm, then I wanna go to the stand with French food. They'll definitely have the best pastries", he said excitedly. You could practically see him drool over the thought of the amazing food. You cold blame him though, you were doing the exact same thing.

"After that can we go too the ramen stand?"

You gave him a bright smile. "Of course, love" 

You see, today was the day that only came around once a year. It was the all to famous food festival, which meant vendors from around the world would come and make food for the many people who visited. When you found the festival was on your boyfriend's birthday, you knew you had to take him. You knew he'd love spending the evening eating food from the many stands.

Even though you were already paying for all the food and tickets for other things, you couldn't help but think you weren't doing enough for Mikey. The poor boy had been through so much and you knew this period time was a hard one for him because it was close to when his older brother died, so you wanted to do something special for him to maybe make him happier, especially since he had done so much for you.

You looked next to you only to see Mikey stuffing his face with a croissant and then order some macaroons. You couldn't help but smile at the childish expression on his face.

"Hey Mikey"

"Hmmm?"

"Are you sure you don't want to do anything else today? I mean it's your birthday, we can do something more" 

" Are you kidding?! This is heaven. I get to spend today eating food and spending time with you! You've already done more than enough Y/n"

" Are you 100 percent sure this is okay?", you spoke, very unsure wether you were truly doing  enough.

"Seriously Y/n. Spending time with you is really I ever wanted, let alone this super cool fair!"

Mikey really was a great boyfriend. All he ever really wished was to spend time with you. But today was his birthday and you really wanted to get him something special. Thankfully, after you thought for a while, you came up with the special idea you had been waiting for.

" Here Mikey!" you said as you handed him some money. "I'll be right back, I just need to get something. Be sure to get whatever food you want!!", you said before staring to walk away.

" Wha- Y/nnnnnn" he whined out. You could feel hands wrap around your waist and a weight dropped onto you. You knew he was trying to hold you back.

" Don't worry Mikey, I'll be back in one minute."you said as your ran your fingers through his long blonde hair.

"Hmmmm... only a minute?" he spoke while he decide to let you go.

"Only a minute!" you shouted as you started sprinting away.
