Heyyy loves! I hope you're all doing well!!

Ummm so I meant to post this on Baji's birthday but I totally forgot. But hey, it's here now. And quick warning this hasn't been proofread so lord knows how it turned out

In other news, I literally can't believe there's 2 chapters left of Tokyo rev. LIKE 2?!

"Why are so many hot guys painting their nails?"

"What?"

That was what you were introduced with at 7 in the morning. Baji, for whatever reason, woke up decided that hot guys paint their nails. You had to be honest, you were confused. You didn't think Baji cared too much about other guys, but clearly, you were wrong.

"Y'know, all these hot guys have their nails painted!" he continued, looking at you. "Is like cool now or something?"

You just looked up at him, completely baffled. This was by far the last thing you were expecting to hear this morning. It was honestly a good wake up call, that's for sure. "Well Baji, I gotta be honest. I don't know"

"...do you think it's hot?"

You immediately stopped in your tracks. Nothing but shock filled you. Baji had never, I mean never asked anything like this before. He usually just does things and happens to look hot while doing it. Unless it has to do with his hair, he never really particularly paid attention. Well, not until now.

"I mean...I guess" you asked, your eyebrows furrowed. "Why?"

Slowly you could hear Baji's footsteps behind you stopping. His kicked his feet around a bit, but kept his eyes glued to the ground. He was quiet, unusually quiet for the way he is. He definitely had some sort of odd change overnight.

"...you better not make fun of me" he grumbled, still refusing to look back at you.

"Wha-", you gasped. "I would never!"

"Yeah, yeah" he groaned. Nervously he fidgeted, his eyes going everywhere expect to your own. He was clearly nervous, maybe even anxious about whatever hot guys have nails. Hell, it took him a good couple of minutes before he finally yelled what he wanted at you. "I WANT YOU TO PAINT MY NAILS"

Oh, how much power it took for you not to break down laughing right there. Baji's face was red as a blush covered his cheeks and ears. He was till looking away from you. Hell, his eyes were closed. Sweat broke out on his skin as he nervously awaited your answer. And you, were choking up trying not to laugh.

It wasn't even funny, just...surprising. It was surprising Baji was the one to ask you that, not Chifuyu or Ryusei. You were shocked that your boyfriend out of all people, wanted you to paint his nails.

"O-okay" you uttered, holding back your laugh. "We can do that after school"

"Really?" he said, finally looking at you.

"Yes"

At that, he gave you a nice thank you and you kept walking to school. You were still shocked, and you had to process it for a while, but by the time you saw Baji again after school, you were both excited to paint his nails! Maybe you would even paint yours.

On the way back to your house, you and Baji stopped by a shop and picked up nail polish and an after-school snack. Baji just chose a nice black, but it complimented his eyes well. The black-haired boy had an smile on his face the whole time. He kept trying to hide it, but he failed miserably.

It was adorable, really.

And trust me, the moment you got back, it was nail painting time.

"Sit still Baji", you muttered, trying to keep your focus. "If you keep moving, I'll get this shit all over you"

Baji grumbled, looking as closely at the nails as he possibly could. His hair was tied back neatly, and his shirt was a random one you gave him so he wouldn't get polish all over the place. The poor guy is messy, so he needs all the precautions possible.

"This is like the 5th coat!" he grumbled, one of his hands under a nail drier. "Aren't we almost done?"

"We're getting there, just be patient."

Baji was getting impatient. But from the way he kept looking at his newly painted nails, and the little glimmer in his eyes, you could tell he was excited. He had never done anything like this before, so it was certainly a new thing.

Plus, you knew there was definitely a part of him that thought it made him look more badass.

"And done!" you yelled, admiring your work. "Now we just gotta let it dry"

"Yes!" Baji yelled, all excited. He happily looked at his nails and kept looking and kept looking. Even for day to come after that, Baji just admired his painted nails. He showed it off to everyone, especially Chifuyu. You ended up painting Chifuyu's nails too because he thought it was so cool. Baji even showed it to his cats, just because!

Clearly Baji like his nails, which was good. After all, it was fun to paint his nails. Plus, it was a cute date idea!

It looks like Baji will be having some painted nails in the future! It just has to be his idea, not yours.

He WILL say no otherwise.
