Part 44. Perverse Instantiation: Part I

"Rovers almost charged." Bellamy called out to us, I was sitting on the river next to Bellamy as Clarke paced uncontrollably.

"We'll need to pack up, we'll be home soon." Bellamy explained.

"Then what, run away?" Clarke asked.

"We're not running away Clarke, we need to regroup the others, find another way to defeat-" Bellamy was interrupted by Clarke

"There is no other way. We need to find another nightblood, we need to unlock the flame. It's the only way to stop Alie." Clarke explained.

"What do you expect us to do Clarke, walk in random villages asking for their nightbloods?" Jasper said.

"If that's what it takes." Clarke agreed.

"No clarke, if Alie can find us on Lunas rig, then she can find us anywhere. I won't help you destroy another innocent grounder village." Octavia jumped in.

"If we don't find another nightblood, there won't be any grounder villages or a home for us to go back to." Clarke exclaimed.

"That's all the more reason we go there and make sure our friends are ok." Bellamy tried to reason with her.

"Or we could just try and force the flame on bela over here the same way you did, here I'll help you hold her down." Jasper laughed as he took my wrist but I pulled away with a small smile, how could he make such a dark joke somewhat humorous?.

"Please, you need to change your mind." Clarke pleaded.

"My answer remains the same, sorry." I apologized, but I wasn't going to take any chances.

Clarke walked away disappointed and we all watched as she walked into the woods.

"Give her some time, let her cool off."Jasper said. Bellamy walked after her and I jumped off the rover and inside with Octavia.

We waited inside for Bellamy and Clarke so meanwhile I decided to teach Jasper an old game that had been passed down through generations, Rock Paper Scissors.

"There I win." Jasper said as he put up a rock symbol.

"No, paper beats rock, I already told you." I laughed as I covered his hand with my own.

"But that doesn't make any sense, you throw a rock through a paper and it breaks." Jasper reasoned confused.

"Yea we'll it's not-" I saw Bellamy and Clarke walking up tit he Roger with a prisoner,

Roan.

Once we got back to Arkadia we were relieved to see that our friends were ok.

"We were getting worried." Raven said as limped over to us.

"Where Luna?" Raven asked confused.

"Luna said no." Raven explained.

"Well then put the damn thing in Bela, she's got the blood doesn't she?" Raven argued.

"I also said no, you've only got one other option." I told her.

She looked confused and so did everyone else as I pulled roan out of the rover, "Who the hell is this?"

"He's Ice Nation." Brian realized

"King of the Ice Nation, actually." I corrected.

"He's also out way to Polis." Clarke added.

"This way your highness, you two on Me, we'll take him to lock up." Bellamy decided as he signaled Brian and Miller to follow him.
