"Well, since YOU didn't get the food you promised, I'll go get it myself" I told Lincoln trying to show him that taking the girl in wasn't a good idea.

"No, I'm coming with you" Lincoln answered firmly. I was confused because his tone was very firm and demanding. He never really talked to me like that. If anything, I could protect myself better than he could. I decided to just let it go, and ask no questions"Ok then, let's go". I start to dress myself in gear and throw Lincoln his sword.

To my surprise, Lincoln chains the girl up. "Hey, you said she wasn't dangerous, what changed?" I asked waiting by the door for him. "I'll explain on the way" he answered not even looking at me.

The walk in the woods was very silent. We hadn't found any animals, and to be honest, at this point I was kind of nervous because of the way Lincoln was acting. My curiosity got the best of me so I decided to break the ice and ask Lincoln "So why are you acting so weird?" I whispered so I wouldn't scare away any animals near by.

"We have one of their people, if I were them, I would already be looking for her.... I would also kill anything that gets in my way... or anyone"

I knew he was talking about the sky people, but I also knew that he was hiding something from me, but I didn't acknowledge it "Ok, yes you have a point, BUT, from what we've seen, they have no training, no weapons, and no knowledge of this place"

I immediately stop in my footsteps and pull out my bow and arrow. There's a rabbit out in plain sight, I shoot it straight through the left eye. Lincoln smiles and picks up the dead bunny. I proceed with my sentence "I on the other, hand have been training since I was 2" I put away my bow and arrow "your welcome for dinner by the way" I smile and take the bunny from him. Lincoln smiles like he always does when I take credit for my own kills.

"Ok, let's get home before any acid fog hits us" Lincoln says packing everything up.

We start running home and I think I hear something but I guess it was just another animal.

We finally get home. I see that the girl is sitting up straight so I can tell that she's getting better. I set down my weapons and before doing anything else, I get closer to her so I can check her leg. She turns around and notices me. She doesn't say anything so I just sit on the floor in front of her face to face. I try to give her a comforting smile she knows I won't hurt her. Lincoln seems to be distracted while he's preparing dinner. My attention stays on the girl whose still looking at me. I can't read her expression, she doesn't look scared like before but she doesn't seem calm either. Just a cold stare.

Before I can even try and check her leg more thoroughly she reveals a small rock and hits my forehead. I can feel myself bleeding and I try to get up but before I can she hits me again. Everything immediately goes dark and I feel my body hit the cement floor.

I open my eyes and realize that there's more people in the room now. I feel a body towering over me going through my stuff. Before I can check who it is, I pull out my knife and stab it into the person. I notice that it's a young boy. He has dark hair and brown eyes, he's on the floor with my knife stabbed into him.

I turn around and realize that the girl who was injured was now free and accompanied by 3 boys. I recognized one of them. It was the boy from before. Now that I saw him up close I could tell he has freckles all over his face, and if I'm being honest, they looked amazing. He was holding Lincoln's spear but Lincoln wasn't here. I barely had anytime to examine the other boys as Lincoln came in and punched the boy with freckles.

I knew we weren't safe so I did the same. I'm not going to lie, the boy was much more trained than I thought he was. It seemed Lincoln was struggling to pin him down. I regained strength and immediately had the boy pinned down. My spear against his throat. He was strong, I was putting all my weight into the spear trying to kill the boy but he held it back. Before I could keep trying, something hit the back of my head. Once again, I blacked out.
