Raven seemed amused as she read Becca Pramheda's journal, "Beccas journal is amazing."

"Of course she was, she was the first commander." I agreed as I read with Raven.

"Not only that but, at 26, she found a pathway to access a human mind. That same year they had to lock up Alie because her answer for what was wrong with the world was too many people, she was 27 when it launched the bombs." Raven continued explaining.

"What did she write about the flame?" Clarke asked her.

"Alie 2.0. She saw it as a way to atone for her sins. She designed it to not just access a human mind, but to merge with one." Raven told the rest of us as we listened closely.

"It could never wipe us out because it would be one of us. She would put it in herself first, altered her genes so her body wouldn't reject the implant." Raven added.

"Becca Pramheda, the first commander, the first to bear the flame." I realized. I'd only heard stories of the legendary Pramheda, I never really knew how the flame came to be or anything.

"The gene therapy made her blood black didn't it?" Clarke asked.

"Yeah." Raven answered.

"How did you know that?" Octavia asked.

"Nightbloods, that's where they came from. Somehow it became hereditary. Bela has it." Clarke said as she looked at me.

She pulled out a small blade and signaled me to give her my hand, "May I?"

I nodded and gave her my hand, she cut the surface of my palm and some of my blood came out, she then cut herself and the same thing happened except it was red.

"When I first saw Bela bleed it confused me how her blood was different from ours, that's because it's really rare. It's altered." Clarke finished explaining.

"It's also why I need you to take the flame Bela." Clarke asked me.

They all turned to me hopeful, "If you can access Alie 2,"

Octavia interrupted Clarke, "She Can tell us how to stop Alie 1."

"Becca Pramheda gets her second chance at atonement." Sinclair said.

"Get back to the mind pathway." Monty added, "If Alie uses it to bring people to the city of light, then theres a chance my moms still alive."

"The depends on your definition of alive." Raven told him.

"Bela, will you be the next commander." Clarke looked to me.

The only reason I fled the conclave was because I wanted to save the people I cared about, I don't want to be the commander.

I looked at the flame in Montys hand, honestly, I'm scared of the flame. What it does.

"No." I responded.

"What? No you have to, it's the only thing that can stop Alie." Clarke complained.

"There's 2 other Nightbloods, meaning you have to other options." I argued.

"Ontari is the last person who should have the flame, and Luna, wait you're right, Luna is the answer." Clarke said full of hope.

"The last time I saw her she had the same mindset as me, I can't assure you she'll take it." I told everyone.

"That's why you're coming with, you told me that you've been friends since childhood, that must count for something." Bellamy jumped into the conversation.

I'd told him about a small part of my life, only the happy parts, in the 3 months we had of peace, I felt comfortable telling him things.

"I'll go, but I won't force it on her, and neither will you." I warned them.
