Alex was waiting for a call from Christine, his girlfriend who still went to school in Las Angles, saying that she had arrived. She was going to rent a car so Alex wouldn't need to go get her, but he was still anxious to see her. To talk to her about his very quick removal from school. His phone rung and it showed that the call was from Christine. He quickly picked up the call and moved into Thomas's study and shut the door.
“Hey baby,” he said.
“Alex, hey its Christine. We need to talk.” Alex's smile and upbeat mood deflated. Those were the relationship words of death.
“Oh, can it wait until you get here.”
“No. Alex I never got on the plane. I don't want to have a long distance relationship. I want to have fun. And that can't happen if your hours away.”
Alex wanted to curl up and cry. He was only worth dating if he was close by.
“Alex have fun at your party I'll probably see around later.”
Which translated in Alex's mind to have a nice life. He hung up the phone and went back into the kitchen.
Lexus saw his brothers red eyes and tear stained face. She went over a hugged him. His phone call with Christine most not have gone the way he wanted.
Alex hugged his sister back and then realized that her breasts were rubbing against his chest. Though he was sad about Christine breaking up with him. The feel of Lexus's breasts against his chest overpowered his thoughts of grief. The brought back thoughts of the night prior when she'd accidentally dropped her towel and allowed him the full view of her body. He was a pervert he told himself and broke there hug. He noticed that all the pizzas had been fixed up and Adrian had left the kitchen again.
“What happened with Christine?”
“She broke up with me. I'm not worth dating if I don't live close by.”
“Alex you don't need a girl like that. Can't have much sense if she dumped a good catch like you.” Lexus realized after she spoke that her comment wasn't very sisterly. Both of them laughed but the moment was just as tense as they had been last night.
They awkwardly went upstairs to shower and dress.
Evelin was dressed and was ready just in time. Adrian pulled in front of her cabin as she was finishing strapping on her shoes.
She walked out of the house and got into Adrian's Range Rover. He greeted her with a smile and then looked over her body taking in the long brown dress and how it accented her eye and hair color against her skin which Adrian could now see more of then ever before. The dress wasn't low cut but it showed more skin than tee shirts and thermal clothing. He couldn't see her arms, because she was wearing a coat over the dress. Adrian put the car into drive and drove Evelin away from her home and towards his own.
The drive went well outside of town. The road was surrounded mostly by national forests. Drove it expertly already knowing how to get to his home even though he had only lives there a little more than a week. He though maybe what Evelin said about always knowing where her home was applied to him to.
“I thought you lived outside of Willowcreek, not outside of Eaton county.”
“I do live outside of Willowcreek, but its a ways out here.” Adrian said turning onto west Count Line. His house was at the end of the road. The 50 acre property was completely surrounded by national forest and park. It sat in the space between several mountains.
The drive wound around the older trees in attempt to leave as much old growth as possibly. It had to be at least a mile long. It widened as it came to the house which was a large open area with a grand house with a pool. Another half mile down the drive would take you to the barns and pastures.
Evelin was astounded at the size of the house. It was a mansion. Covered in stone and three stories high. Lights light the drive in front of the house. Adrian maneuvered the Land Rover around the house and into the back garage.
The cars in the garage varied from things you would commonly see on the road like Lexus's Infinity and Adrian's land rover to antique cars fit for shows and Alex's four hundred thousand dollar Ferrari.
