Love in Unexpected Places

Chapter 11

 People whispers became conversations, when the hosts weren’t present. Evelin wasn't noticed without the edition of Adrian. So she got to here the bluntness of there conversation. Some one had told the guests. They said she was just Adrian's new whore. Others said she was just some little town gold digging white trash.

            Evelin new she shouldn't care about there comments but they hurt even if just from strangers. Evelin looked down at her dress wondering if it looked sluttish. Evelin felt hurt and now only wanted to go home. She went to go back it to the main room. But Adrian was no longer there.

            She did find Lexus, "Do you know were Adrian went?"

             "Yes he went upstairs with Alex. He should be downstairs soon but, if you want to find him. It is the second door on the left." Lexus said smiling she was relay starting to like Evelin she was nice and really seemed to care about her brother..

            Evelin went up the large main staircase. It lead to a hallway and she found the first door on the left open. She could here Alex and Adrian both raising there voices. They were fighting Evelin stayed outside the door. Then she could hear her name.

            Adrian had brought his brother upstairs so he could get some sleep. He drunk a few more drinks then he should of. Audrey and Thomas allowed Adrian, Alex, and Lexus drink at social events. But Alex had taken it to an Extreme.

            "Why did you bring Evelin? You knew she would just cause more trouble," Alexander said slurring his words.

            "Because I like her. How did she cause any trouble? She barely spook the whole time she was here." Adrian said getting frustrated with his brother.

            "You here the guests. They know shes just another one of your Whores."

            "Alex go to bed. Your drunk and stupid."

            "Your the one who's getting Angry. Why don't you just Fuck her and get over with it." Alex said, Adrian went to defend his motives but Alex spook before he could. "Don't go on telling me that she is so different. You've never wanted anything from a girl other than that. Well with the exception of your math teacher. There all you wanted was a better grade."

            "I really get sick of repeating myself Alex but, I don't want Evelin for a quick screw. I like her more than that. She's smart and witty. She already cautious of me because thats what she thinks i want. But i really have thought about what Mom and Dad said I don't want to always be miserable. This is my clean slate and I'm going to take advantage of it."

            Alex said something to Adrian. But Evelin had already moved away. She had herd enough and it made her happy. Maybe Adrian wasn't a complete jerk, but he could have known she was listening

  The house was emptying out when she got out the door. She wished the house wasn't so far away from town so she could just walk. But she went for a second alternative. She asked Lexus for a ride.

Lexus was saying goodbye to guests, when Evelin came up to her. "Lexus can you give me a ride home, Adrian's busy and I have to be home before curfew."

"I can do that, give me a second to grab my keys."
