Wanda had a terrible night sleep. It was 4am and she still couldn't sleep so she got out of bed. She headed for the kitchen to make herself some tea.

She had become fairly friendly with everyone apart from Nat. She was very closed off and pushed everyone away. Wanda had heard rumours about her being a little but didn't mind. She often worried about Nat but left her alone most of the time.

As she walked into the kitchen she saw someone sat on the sofa, the smell of coffee filled the air. "Hey..." wand said softly going to sit next to Nat.

"What?" Nat said harshly. Wanda looked at her and it looked like she had been crying. "I just couldn't sleep, saw you, decided to say hi" Wanda says shrugging.

"Lovely" Nat said sarcastically getting up and heading to her room. Wanda heard the door slam and sighed. She just wanted to help Nat, to make her feel okay and take away her pain.

She stood up and went to make some tea and decided to go back to her room. As she sat down on her bed she heard crying coming from nats room.

Nats room was right next to Wandas so she could hear nat pretty clearly.

Wanda put her tea down and went to Nats door. She heard muffled cries and whines coming from her room. She contemplated going in. After a few seconds she heard Nat let out a loud sob. Without thinking she knocked on the door. "Nat? Are you okay?" She opened the door and saw Nat in hysterics sat on the floor.

"GET OUT! LEAVE ME ALONE WANDA! IM NOT A BABY!" Nat yells. Wanda quickly closes the door and runs out the room, her own eyes filling with tears. She went back to her room but couldn't help thinking about Nat. Wandas heart broke hearing her sobs on the other side of the wall.

She wanted to go and hug Nat, tell her it's all going to be okay. To help her calm down and feel safe. She shook the thought from her head and continued to read and drink her tea until there was a knock at her door.

"Yeah? Come in" she said putting her tea and book down. Nat appeared at the door. "You didn't see anything earlier right?" Wanda nodded. "Good. Don't come into my room" she added before leaving. Wandas heart shattered at the sight of Nat. It looked like she hadn't showered in weeks... she had bags under her eyes and looked incredibly sad.

She continued to read her book and drink her tea until she had finished her tea. She went to the kitchen and made herself some more she went back to her room and rested it on her bedside table before picking up her book again.

After a few hours she heard screaming coming from Nats room. Without thinking she ran in and saw Nat sat up in bed, breathing heavily. Nat looked at her and Wanda expected her to yell at her. Instead, Nat burst into tears.

"Nat..." she went over to her, making sure she closed the door behind her. She sat next to her and hugged her. Wanda could tell that Nat wasn't used to physical affection so the hug was slightly awkward.

"It's okay... it's okay Nat it was just a dream... I'm right here"

Even though she would never admit it, Nat enjoyed the care wanda gave her. The comforting words she would whisper, the back rubs...

Suddenly Nat realised what was happening and pulled away from Wanda. Wanda looked at her confused and embarrassment and anger flushed Nats face.

"Go away wanda. I'm fine. Stop babying me." She said harshly. Wanda felt her eyes sting with tears as she nodded and walked back to her room.

Nat felt awful about being mean to Wanda but knew that she had to otherwise she would've gone little. She didn't need to be little, she wasn't a baby. She wasn't weak and fragile, she was strong and independent. She lay back down and realised the bed was wet. She started to cry again as she tried to change the sheets.
