Wanda heard a small knock at the door and immediately knew who it was. She opened the door and saw maria stood with a comforting smile. Maria could see her tear stained cheeks and red nose from crying.
"Come here." Maria pulled Wanda into a much needed hug. They went in and sat down and talked about everything. Wanda was so thankful for maria, she was always there for her.
"Wanda?" She turned to see Nat stood in the hallway, she had changed into some jeans and a t-shirt. Her face was white as a sheet "What are you talking about?" Nat said her voice shaky. "Nat..." Wanda started but Nat interrupted.
"No. You said you wouldn't tell anyone, you promised me Wanda..." tears started to flow down Nats cheeks as she spoke. "I can't believe I trusted you, wow, okay..." she turned on her heels and ran to her room, slamming and locking the door.
Wanda immediately followed her, and Maria followed Wanda. "Nat please... I'm sorry but I needed to tell someone, I was planning on telling you when you were big again I just..."
Wanda had messed up. She had no idea how to fix it. Nat felt betrayed, she finally opened up to someone about her past and they went blabbering about it to everyone! How could she?
This was all Wanda's fault, she convinced her it was safe to be little, it's never safe to be little. She was never going to be little again. It wasn't safe, it never had been. She was right all along, why can't she just trust her gut feeling the whole time! She knew this would happen!
Nats breathing got heavier until she was gasping for air, there wasn't any going into her lungs, she couldn't breathe. She went to her bathroom and opened the cupboard above the sink.
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️TRIGGER WARNING! ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
She took the blade laying there, and she held it against her skin. After a few seconds she slowly dragged it across her wrist, blood started to trickle down her arm instantly. The relief was also instant. She held the blade to her skin once more, and cut across her wrist, slightly below the first one. She held the blade to her skin once more and slid it across her pale skin, now stained crimson red.
She breathed heavily for a few seconds before looking down at what she had done. Shit. She so badly wanted Wanda to help her but... she didn't trust her anymore. She wanted the old Wanda back, whom she trusted with her life. Her mama. Maybe she just wasn't worthy of having someone to love. Wether that be a parent, a sibling, a caregiver, a lover... she just wasn't good enough for love.
She quickly put the blade back and took some of the bandages next to it and started to wrap the wounds. She was done with everything. As soon as she had bandaged everything up she went to bed, the last thing she wanted was to be awake right now. Although she could hear Wanda on the other side of the door she blocked it out, she was used to blocking things out.
⚠️⚠️⚠️TRIGGER WARNING OVER ⚠️⚠️⚠️"Please Nat, I'm sorry..." Wanda started to sob. She didn't even get to explain herself, she just wanted to help Nat, she didn't meant I hurt her...
"Come on Wanda, she probably needs some space. You had the right intentions, it's okay..." Maria tried to comfort her. Wanda nodded and Maria helped her into her own bed, knowing they both needed to sleep this off.
Both Nat and Wanda cried themselves to sleep, Nat because she had lost everything, and Wanda because she had caused it.
The next day wanda woke up pretty late, she got out of bed and went to the kitchen, she didn't see Nat anywhere. She was probably still in her room... hopefully she's okay.
"Nat?" Wanda knocked on her door. There wasn't any noise on the other side of the door, Wanda tried to open the door but it was still locked. "Nat... please let me in..." Wanda begged.
"Leave me alone Maximoff." Nat replied bluntly, she sounded so upset. Her raspy voice echoed through Wanda's head all day. She just wanted her baby back.
Nat lay in bed the rest of that day. She didn't get up to shower, to brush her teeth, to eat, to do anything. She lay there, staring at the ceiling, waiting for the night to come so she could go back to sleep.
Wanda didn't do much that day either. She tried to shop online, to read, but she couldn't. She couldn't do anything. She felt so bad and upset with herself. Why didn't she ask Nat first? She's ruined everything!
That night Nat finally got up. She drank some water from her bathroom tap and went to the bathroom before getting back into bed and going to sleep.
That night wanda couldn't sleep, no matter how hard she tried. She read for a bit and listened to some music but that's about it. Other than that she just sat, thinking. Thinking about how stupid she was, how she has ruined not just her life, but Nat's too! She was so selfish! These thoughts continued until she suddenly heard screaming from Nat's room.
"NO GET OFF! PLEASE STOP! I DONT LIKE IT PLEASE STOP!" She screamed. Wanda jumped up and ran to her room but alas, her door was locked. "Nat! Can you open the door? Please? I just want to help you I'm sorry baby girl please..."
Nat's screaming stopped but Wanda's pleading did not, she needed to check her baby girl was okay. "Nat please can you open the door, please! I just want to check on you,"
"LEAVE ME ALONE MAXIMOFF!" She screamed making Wanda jump. She ran back to her room and collapsed in a fit of tears.
Nat went back to the bathroom and took the blade from the cupboard. She took a deep breath and let it slide across her wrist once again.
