It's been a couple of years since everything went down, since the multiverse has changed forever. Right now i'm babysitting Morgan while Pepper is stuck at her office and Tony is down in the workshop. It's more like hanging out because I don't mind Morgan, she reminds me of a younger me before I really knew what loss felt like.
I really shouldn't have come straight here from the office without changing my clothes, though I look pretty good if I do say so myself.

I'm working my way to be the president of a prosthesis company over in Manhattan, it's a lot, but it's an indefinite thanks to Uncle James as well as the makeup and such that hide my worst scars from kids at school. While last year I was volunteering at the VA after we came back from Louisiana to help Sam.
"Sari?" Morgan asks
I swing out of my daze before I catch her big brown eyes looking at me.
"Yeah, Munchkin?" I ask while my shoulders tense at the temperature in the room
"I know my daddy's aunt was your mom. You didn't know her that well, did you?" she asks
Wow, she knows a lot.
"I didn't, I guess I wasn't meant to."
"Do you miss her?"
"Of course."
"But you don't show it." she says as she kirks her head
"I'm not exactly new to loss." I say in a way that reminds myself of Vision
Rest In Pieces..
"Oh."
After she says this, I hear a knock on the door.
"Hang on, M." I say as I quietly get off of the chair
I grab my pistol from the counter and walk to the front door, I click the safety off to prepare for the worst. While I hold it up to the space where the trim meets the door, I hear the person rocking back and forth on their feet as I unlock it for me to open the door and see the Stark sons.
"Hey Peter, Harley." I say as I open the door wider and move my gun down
"Hey, is Pepper home?" Peter asks as they walk in
"No, i'm on Morgie duty for the night. Are you two staying here?" I ask as I shut the door
"I'm not sure yet, we just thought we would come by and hang out with whoever is here." Harley explains
"Well, Tony is downstairs if you want to talk to him. Other than that it's just the Little One and myself." I explain as I scratch my nose
I put my gun back on the counter after clicking the safety on before guiding them towards the dining floor.
