May 10 2011-Malibu, California-Tony's POV

"He said you were the only person with the means and knowledge to finish what he started." Agent Fury mentions

"He said that? That he wants me to finish looking for my dead cousin who was never really my cousin? He wants me to make up a weaponry facility because he was too drunk to do it himself? Oh wait, he was a drunk because Sarah left." I sigh

"She didn't leave, she was taken by a Hydra spy who was the Rogers' kids nanny from '43 until that day in 1950."

"She's probably dead."

"Are you that guy? Because if so..you can solve the riddle of your heart. You say you love your mother, but all I hear you saying is how much you hated your dad." Fury points out

"I didn't hate him, I hated Rogers because he and Sarah were the only two people he cared about in his lifetime."

"What do you remember about your dad, huh?"

"He was cold, he was calculating, he never told me he loved me, never even told me he liked me. So it's a little tough for me to digest what you're telling me he said the whole future was riding on me and he's passing it down..I don't get that. You're talking about the guy who's happiest day was when he shipped me off to boarding school." I express

"That's not true."

"Well then, you know my dad better than I did." I mention as I sit back in my chair

"As a matter of fact, I did. He was one of the foundling members of S.H.I.E.L.D." Fury adds as he checks his watch

"What?" I mention as I sit up in my seat

"I got a two o'clock."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What's this?" I ask as he begins to leave

"Okay, you're good, right?"

"No, i'm not good."

"You got this, right?" Fury checks

"Got what? I'm not even sure what i'm supposed to get."

"Natasha will remain a floater at Stark with her cover in tact, and you remember Agent Coulson."

"Yeah."

"Oh yeah, and Tony..remember. I got my eye on you." Fury stares

"We've disabled all communications, no contact with the outside world..good luck." Agent Romanoff smiles with a small giggle before she walks away

Agent Coulson hashes out what we can of me wanting him to stay here, but he leaves too. I sit down and open the suitcase to see a vintage prototype of Captain America's shield along with folders of paperwork. I open one to see Stark Expo stuff, another to see random crap I read when I was younger until I look and see a picture of Aunt Peggy's lost daughter.

I open the folder and read what exactly happened that day, my eyes widen at certain parts of it in realization that this kid must have some trauma from being taken.

But why did dad only focus on finding her?

Why only focus on finding the epitome of old America at the bottom of the ocean?

Why not raise your kid by yourself?

Why not raise your kid by yourself?
