"Good morning Calum. How are you feeling?"
"It feels like it's getting hard to breathe. It feels like my lungs are filling up with fluid."
"Do you mind if i take a listen?"
"no not at all."
'You're a bit congested, it doesn't sound bad."
"So um, what about the treatment?"
"Me and Marie we're re going over your test results and this is the options we came up with it. Option one is have 1 year of hardcore chemo or 6 months chemo with monthly radiation and if the tumor shrinks it will be small enough to remove. Now which do you prefer??"
"I think my best option would be the 6 months. I want to be back up and running and fast as possible."
"Alrighty than, I will write that in your chart. And I'll have Marie get the next round of chemo."
"Thanks, I really appreciate it."
(Dr.Goldberg leaves the room)
"Guys i'm scared, in a little while i'll be throwing up again. Urg."
'Calum, stop it, remmeber your body has to get used to that drug. And from my point of view it hurts to see you this sick. It saddens me that you have this horrible disease. You can't give up, you have to win the battle no matter how hard it gets.'
"Thanks Ashton I feel like you always know what to say."
(Marie walks back in with another bag of chemo)
"Okay Calum, I have more. I'll hook you up and let it take its course."
Once the treatment was hooked up to the IV, Cal immediately felt it coursing through his veins. There was pain in his chest, stomach every where. Mali then walked over and held Calums hand while playing with his hair.
*Mali's POV*
"Oh baby brother, it hurts so much to see you pain. Over the course of like 30 hours I cried for you. I feel so broken. I feel so hurt that you're going through this."
'You're so sweet Mali. I love you.'
"i miss you jamming out on your guitar so much. I miss you singing too."
'Im in so much pain Mali...I cant take it.' Tears began slipping out of Calum's eyes.
"I'll run out and get a nurse to give you something to relieve the a pain."
(mali leaves the room)
*Mikeys POV*
"Mali lefted the room to get a nurse. She was obvisously shaken up to. I stood on the left side of Cal's bed, starring at him. He kept fidgeting in pain, I tried not to tear up. Instead I held the garbage pale next to him just in case he had to throw up. And in this case he did. He hasn't eaten anything in over a day. The chemo was really taking a bold effect on his body. Out of anybody in this room it shouldn't be Calum who has the cancer it should be me. I deserve it. Not him its not freaken fair at all."
Mali came back with Marie she gave Calum a dose of pain medication through his IV. Instantly Calum started to feel better, which was good thing.
Another nurse than came in the room and this is what she said.
"Hi Calum, my names Hailey and I will be the other nurse taking care of you when Marie is booked with other patients. I thought I'd like to tell you that in a few our you will go down stairs to get your first radiation treatment. is that okay?"
'Thats fine. And its very nice to meet you by the way."
