Battlefield ( Calum Hood fanfic)

Flashback

This flashback starts the night Calum has died.
Luke, Ashton, & Michael stood in the hallway peaking into the doorway as the nurses and doctors crowded around Calum trying to reccesitate him. Continuous flat -lined peeps could be heard throughout the room and surrounding hallway. The three boys pulled each other into a hug, all their bodies shaking.
There was all silence except for a doctor screaming "clear", every few seconds.
10 minutes went by and the sounds of heart restarted machine stopped, and nurse than said " time of death 11:03pm February 7th 2018".
The doctors and nurses walked out, and told us their condolences, and let us go in and say goodbye to Calum.

"CALUM CALUM CALUM? NO CALUM! THIS WASNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! CALUM SPEAK TO ME! I LOVE YOU OKAY? YOULL ALWAYS BE MY FIRST TRUE LOVE! ILL NEVER FIND LOVE EVER AGAIN." Luke held calum's hand and was hysterically crying. "YOUR HAND IS SO COLD. " he said and continued to cry.
"my rhythm section buddy is gone. Oh CALUM, you were doing so well. You've been clean for over two years! And now your gone. My best bro friend is gone now, and I couldn't do anything about it." Ashton covered his eyes, tears streaming down his face.
Michael didn't know what to do or say, so he just stood there crying.

There was a knock at the door and a nurse with a priest came in. "Hi, I'm father George. I'm the hospital's priest and I'm here to read calum's final rights." The priest explained and proceeded to to walk toward the hospital bed.
"Before, you do that can we call someone first? I think calum's sister and parents should know." Michael spoke up, the father George nodded his head.
Michael dialed calum's house number and put it on speaker phone, before handing the phone off to Ashton.
"Hello, Joy here, whose this? Joy answered the phone. Ashton cleared his throat and said"hi joy it's Ashton, is David and Mali Koa around?"
"Is there something wrong?" Everyone on the other line stayed quiet.
"David, Mali pick up the other phone's ashton is on the line.!" That is what the other boys can hear through the phone.
"Ashton is there something wrong?" Mali and David asked at the same time. "Is CALUM there? Put CALUM on the phone." Joy said.
Ashton's heart began beating out of his chest, he gulped, his breath hitched and he finally said; "Calum, um calum, calum p-passed a-way. I-I'm s-sorry f-for your l-loss." Ashton stuttered and began crying and luke and Michael did the same. "CALUM what?" Mali asked with a crack her voice she clearly started to cry. David and Joy started crying on the phone line as well. "My baby is gone." Joy blurted into the phone. They all said I love you calum , with cries in between each word. "The priest wants to read Cal's final rights I thought you guys would like to hear, stay on the phone." Ashton said and it got quiet, everyone bowed heads as the priest began to do blessings and prayer. It took only a few moments. At the end they all said, "in Jesus's name we pray,amen." After all that the Hood's hung up the phone.
The other boys were ushered out because the nurse at to remove all of calum's tubes and bring him down to the morgue for an autopsy.
1 day later, the boys flew home to Australia , and Calum's dead body was shipped back to Australia as well.
As soon as the boys got off the plane in Sydney they made their way to the Hood residence to explain every detail of calum's death and to grieve with their family.
When they got to the Hood house they knocked on the door and Joy came crying to the door. "I'm so so sorry Mrs Hood." Luke hugged her real tight, and everyone else proceeded. When they went inside they all exchanged hugs with Mali and David.
By the end of the day the funeral plans were set. With that private invites to fans were sent out.

2 days later was the funeral and this is what happened.
Mali Koa's POV:
"Our family was first allowed into the funeral parlor. When we walked into the place and seeing the open casket in front of the room, I almost collapsed. The boys walked in behind us and luke grabbed me when I almost fell backwards. Flowers and pictures covered the room. I walked up to the casket with my mom and dad and we kneeled on the kneeler. I tried so hard not to tear up but I did anyways. Calum was wearing a nice, handsome black suit, his black hair was parted to one side, and his hands were together wrapped in rosary beads. I did the sign of the cross and prayed. After wards me and my mom kissed Cal's cold forehead. I put one of his favorite guitar picks in the casket. The other boys went after us and they broke down."
In church....
In the church, Mali, Michael, luke and ashton all brought up the holy gifts, they read quotes from the bible as well. Adding on they all did speeches.
After church, they went to the cemetery, where calum's final resting place will be. Calum will be buried right next to his grandmother, who has been deceased for 6 years now. The only up beat thing about this was calum wasn't in pain anymore, wasn't fighting for his life, people weren't going to have to stand around him and watch him suffer... He was at peace now, bonding with his lovely grandmother.
Everyone who was at the cemetery started hugging and kissing each other and hysterically crying as the cemetery workers lowered calums coffin into the crowd.
Calum's POV:
"I appeared right behind a crying Mali Koa, and I saw a coffin getting lowered 6 feet under. I saw a tombstone that said my name on it I'm dead? I asked myself. I tried to hug Mali but I went through her. I'm a ghost? I'm a spirit? I saw a light beaming towards me after the coffin was buried. Do I walk towards it? What do I do? An than I heard a godly voice asking for me, that was my cue. 'Bye Mali, I love you', I said as I walked towards the light and disappeared in the quiet place of heaven."
Before everyone left Michael brought Mali into a hug, and said, "calum's watching you, he hates seeing you cry, he wants you to be happy. I know he's here."
"I know he's here too Michael. I miss him so much." Mali said back to Michael before they left the cemetery.
