The surgery took a surgery of 3 hours. It was about 8pm when Calum was in recovery, still asleep. The nurses told the rest of the boys that when he wakes up he'll be in a lot pain. And depending how much pain he's actually in they'll have to put him in a medically induced coma for 24 hours.
Instead of waiting till calum walks up they decided to get a head start and begin treatment right now. They say it's a possibility that he'll get really ill from the chemo. They're not 100% sure, but its likely.
There was some restrictions. The boys were not allowed to go into recovery with Cal. Its family only and Calum's family wasn't there yet. They were on their way.
Meanwhile, Luke, Ashton and Michael were standing in the hallway of the hospital watching Calum sleep through the window. And they were trying not to get noticed by any fans because it wouldn't be the right time or place for them to be their and to ask for pictures.
"Michael, Im scared.. What if this is it?" Luke blurted out in the hallway causing people to turn around and look at them. "What do you mean Luke?" Michael questioned Luke. "What if he doesn't come out of the hospital with us? What if he dies? Luke started sobbing. All these questions and thoughts made him upset. "Luke,shh, Cal's doing fine. They caught it pretty early, that's a good thing." Michael weakly smiled and rubbed Luke's shoulder, causing luke to give a little smile back. "It hurts me, Michael. It really does. I think back to other times failry similar to this and I imagine that it could be it. I just want to be prepared just incase. Im sorry." Luke sighed, he sniffled and took the sleeve from his shirt to wipe the streams of tears coming down his cheeks. "Even if Calum doesn't make it for another tour or album, just remember he'll be looking down on us. He'll be there in spirit and in our hearts. And remember he won't be in pain and suffering anymore. " It hurt michael to say those words causing him to panic and cry a little bit.
Ashton had to hold it together, not just for Calum, but for Michael and Luke and the rest of Calum's family. One day Ashton will just break from all the Calum stuff but for now he has to stay strong and be their for his best-friends.
Anyways, Michael and Luke already made up their minds that Ash will be the one who delievers this news to the rest of the fam.
