Calum's death became a national news story. Since now, that it was such a big deal and getting lots of attention schools all over the world made announcement that Monday morning regarding Calum's passing.
So many girls broke down, screaming crying. People hugged. There were a few suicides.
Schools even had grieve counselors on duty because they new girls wouldn't be able to sit in class and deal with the situation.
The boys asked for privacy at this time. They had to tell David, Joy and Mali. They also had to make preparations for Calum's body to get shipped back to Australia. There were also funeral and burial plans to make. It was too much for them to handle, the last thing they need is the media budding in.
So much to do in such little time...................
On that same Monday morning the boys were seen leaving their hotel heading to the airport to fly back home, and clearly they were still grieving. They all wore sunglasses to cover their red-puffy, tear-filled eyes.
Fans understood to not bother them but a small group of like 15 fans stood in the airport.. it wasn't meant for them to meet them but to say their condolences in person.
"I'm so sorry guys. I am really sorry. I love you guys and I love and miss Calum so much. You have no idea. My mom let me stay home from school today so I can grieve." That is what one of the girls said to all three of the boys. And in return they hugged her real tight. "Thank you, we love you." Luke said back to her. He was crying. "Thank you so much for the support. I love you babe." Ashton managed to say while hugging the girl. He was trying to keep calm. "Thank you. I miss Calum so much..I love you." MIchael was hysterical. You can barely understand what he was saying.
A lot of fans said a lot of the same things like, "I'm sorry", or, "I love you."
