Short, sweet, kinda sad

When stiles wasn't in school he was at the hospital, with his mom. His dad would drive him and you there and then head back to work. Of course, you were too young to know what was happening, you were 6 and stiles was 10 so he had a better grasp on it. You thought your mom was just sick with a very bad cold and that she would be coming home soon, but you were wrong. Usually you and stiles get in your dads cruser after school, then head to the hospital, but today you went home. You'd thought nothing of it, but stiles knew she was gone.

About a couple weeks after the funeral you started to wake up having nightmares. You'd keep seeing flashes of an older stiles and Scott going into the woods, then a dead body cut in half, Scott getting bitten by something then a huge wolf snarling in your face. That's always what woke you up, you'd tried to just go back to bed and it usually worked, but tonight you couldn't. You climbed out of bed, grabbed your teddy bear, and walked over to stiles's room. You knocked on his door and in couple seconds a messy haired, just woken up stiles answered. "Y/n, what's wrong?" His face contorted to concern when he saw the seat on your forehead and fear in your eyes.

"Can I sleep with you? I had a nightmare and I can't go back to bed." You explained with fear in your voice

"Yeah, sure." He let you in and you climbed in his bed. "You wanna tell me what your nightmare was about?"

"I saw you and Scott get attacked by a wolf." You said as he pulled you close

"Well, that's not gonna happen because wolves aren't native in this part of California. So, me and Scott will be perfectly fine." He reassured as he started to ramble about wolves your eyes got droopy and sleep soon took over. Stiles had looked down at you and saw your eyes shut so he shifted to where he was comfortable enough to fall asleep. Even though he had lost his mom he knew that as long as he had you and his dad he would be perfectly fine.
