Ice skating was always a passion of yours. You've done it ever since high school and you loved it. It's how you met your boyfriend. His friends had dragged him into going ice skating, he nearly ran into you when you had lost control of one of your spins. He caught you and you told him you'd buy him a coffee as a thank you.

"You're gonna kill it." Schlatt said as he hyped you up for your competition. This one would determine if you'd make it to the Olympics, so nervous was very much an understatement.

"What if I mess up one of my jumps or-or spin out of control."

"You're not gonna do that because you've been going to the rink almost everyday to practice. Babe, you kicked out the hockey players when their practice ran late." He chuckled.

"Okay, yeah, you're right. I got this." You said and your name got called. You gave Schlatt one more peck on the lips before going out.

Your performance was going smoothly, you landed all your jumps, you never lost control of your spins and all you had left to do was an upright spin and you were solid. Unfortunately, as you were bringing your leg up to your hands, you turned wrong and lost your balance. Your hand got cut by the blade on your skate and your ankle twisted the wrong way as you fell. Hitting your head on the ice didn't help your state either, considering it caused you to pass out on the ice.

You groaned as you opened your eyes, using your hand to shield them from the light. You were met with a soft mesh feeling on your face when you placed your hand over your eyes. "There's the sleeping beauty." You heard the familiar voice say.

"Everything hurts." You whined as he helped you sit up.

"Well, you did have a nasty fall. Cut your hand open, broke you ankle, and got a concussion in one go." He said handing you a cup of water.

"I'll take it I didn't make the Olympic team then?" You said as tears started to form in your eyes.

"I'm sorry, baby." He sat on the bed next to you and held your hand. "If it helps those other skaters never stood a chance."

The doctor told you to take it easy for a week, not to use crutches until your hand healed and definitely don't put too much pressure on your ankle. He said you'll have the cast for six weeks before he checks on the bone to determine if you'll move to a brace or stay in a cast for a while longer.

Schlatt took the 'take it easy' as 'stay in bed and text me if you need anything'. He didn't want you moving unless it was on his back or in his arms. "Schlatt I am fine! It's been a week my hand has healed-ish and I'm on crutches." You said as Schlatt dragged you into his office. You tried to go to the kitchen to get a snack and you used your crutches, unfortunately Schlatt caught you and is now holding you captive so you can't secretly move around.

"Doctors orders." He shrugged placing you on the couch in his office.

"No they aren't." You pouted as he propped up your ankle.

"It'll be fun. You can hang out with me while I record." He smiled sitting in his chair as he resumed his recording session. "I'm back boys and I'm with my broad!"

"Help! I'm being held here against my will!" You shouted trying to wiggle your way into the camera view.

"That's a lie."

Almost four months later you had the go ahead to start skating again. No complex moves, just regular skating. You were so excited that you were practically dragging Schlatt out of the house but the second you saw the ice you froze.

You couldn't stop thinking about what had happened last time you were on frozen grounds. Would you slip again when you stepped on? Would you get the hang of it then someone accidentally knocks you over? Could you have forgotten how to skate? What if- "Just breathe. You got this, and we can always do this some other time. Soon doesn't always mean today."

"If I don't do it now, I'll never do it." You said as your eyes were glued to the iced floor. Schlatt noticed this and decided to step out first. He stood in front of you and held out his hand for you to take it.

"Hurry up!" A random dude shouted from behind you.

"Shut up before I come back there and punch you. There's another entrance dumbass!" Schlatt said immediately getting defensive. He knew this was already stressful enough and you definitely didn't need some random person shouting at you. "Just breathe and look at me." He said and you nodded before placing your feet on the ice.

"I'm doing it." You smiled noticing the white, slippery flooring under your feet.

"I'll guide you for now and you can start to move on your own when ur ready." Schlatt said as he started to skate backwards while still holding on.

Soon you could move on your own without Schlatts help, but you still held his hand. "Thank you."

"Anytime." He smiled and you leaned up to give him a peck on the lips.
