It was Teds birthday and you wanted to make him a cake and you also knew he was having trouble thinking of a YouTube video so you took it upon yourself to film one for him. He was out filming a video with Smosh so it was the perfect time because even if they'd finished filming early he still had about a 1-2 hour drive back depending on traffic. As soon as he was out the door you grabbed his camera and one of his mics. You set up the camera on the tripod and grabbed everything you needed before pressing record and turning on your mic. "Hi! So, today's Teds birthday and unfortunately he had to film something with another YouTube channel. Now, Ted has been struggling to make a new video recently so I decided to bake a cake, answer questions we get asked a lot and hit two birds with one stone!" You said before grabbing a bowl and your ingredients "First we need...I have no idea so let me grab my phone." You grabbed you phone pulling up the cake recipe "1 cup of water." You grabbed a measuring cup and filled it to the 1 cup line and pouring it in the bowl "uh oh. It says I need 1 stick if butter softened but it's been in the fridge all day so maybe I'll just put it in the microwave for like 5 seconds." Once you pulled out the butter it was soft but not melted which was perfect. You threw it in with the water and grabbed and egg. "Wanna see some real talent." You cracked two eggs at the same time with one hand some how managing to not get any shell in the mix, then you cracked the third eggs as you grabbed the cake mix. "Are you- I'm dumb. There's literally the instructions on the back of the box." You said scanning over them realizing you forgot to pre heat the oven "Shit!" You turned around and turned the oven up to 350° and then came back to pour the cake mix and mix the ingredients together. Once the ingredients were stirred you grabbed the pam and sprayed the pan with it. You quickly poured the cake into the pan and put it into to oven and set the timer. "Question time!" You exclaimed as you pulled your phone out

1. How did you and Ted meet?

"If you've seen the old lunch club video when they went to the zoo I was babysitting my nephew and I took him to the zoo. So, he told me he wanted to see the elephants and we saw Ted giving them a speech he walked over and tugged on his shirt then told him 'I don't think they understand you.' If you wanna see the rest you know the video."

2. How long have you been dating?

"It'll be 2 years in may, before you say anything! Yes, we started dating a month after we met because we love each other very much. Deal with it."

3. What's your favorite thing to do together?

"Uhm, either movie nights or streaming together. I like movie nights because we get to relax and it's kinda a destresser for the both of us. And I like streaming together because it's something we love that we can share so I can't decide."

4. What's your favorite thing about Ted?

"I love his artsy photography side because of two reasons. First, I get my own personal photographer. Secondly, he's able to just look at something or a random spot and figure out how to turn it into the perfect picture." Before you could read the final question you got a text from Ted. "Uh oh, Ted just texted. 'Finished early I'm on my back home, I'll grab us some pizza so I should be there in like 30 minutes.' Love you. There's 15 minutes left on this cake so I should be able to shove it in the freezer for like 5 minutes to cool which should be enough time to finish." You said as you texted back telling him to be safe and throwing in an I love you.

5. When did you say your 'I love you' and who said it first?

"So Ted said it first and it was our 1 year anniversary. Shockingly, not even at dinner or the walk we took after, but when we came back and we're in our pajamas, me without makeup, he looked at me and just said it, I said it back and the rest of that night is history."

15 mins later

"Alright cake is done and now we shove her in the freezer for 5 minutes while I put the icing in the bags." You said doing so quickly so that you had enough time, as soon as you had the icing bags ready you pulled the cake out and saw that Ted had texted you again 'I should be home in 5' "FUCK ME! Aright, He's making better time than I had thought so now I only have 5 minutes to put the icing on this fuckin thing." You quickly grabbed the icing bags and started to work. When you we're almost done with icing it the bag exploded on you. "WHY?!?" You said as you just threw hope out the window and covered the little bit you missed and put the candles on. Then, Ted walked through the door.

"Hey, babe I'm home...what'd you do?" He asked as he put his stuff down and put the pizza on the counter before walking around to you

"I tried to make you a cake for your birthday and make a video for you because I know you've been struggling with a video idea so I though 'I could bake him a cake while he's gone today and film it!' But then you came home early and the icing exploded on my clothes and-" you ranted but yes cut you off in the most shocking way. He slammed his face into the cake after taking out the candles and his glasses off. "What'd you do that for?"

"Now we both have icing on us." He smiled as you handed him a paper towel to wipe his face off

"That's sweet, but you didn't have to do that." You chuckled "I'm gonna go change you do your outro." You walked into your shared bedroom changing into something more comfortable while he finished up the video. You walked back out and over to Ted who was finishing up his outro by doing a taste test. "What did you think?"

"I loved it. I give it at 10/10 stegosauruses." He said as he gave you a quick peck on the lips. "Alright that's it for today guys! Thanks to my wonderful girlfriend who made this cake and video. Bye!" He said before turning the camera off and putting it away. You got yourself and Ted a slice of pizza as you turned on the tv and grabbed you and Ted a drink before sitting down. He walked back in and sat down next to you.

"You can pick tonight birthday boy." You said as he turned on a random episode of friends.

You and Ted had adjusted to where he was laying on your chest and you were running your hand through his hair. Ted looked up at you to see you half asleep. "Hey, let's clean up and we can go to bed." He said as he got up and grabbed the plates. You grabbed the drinks and threw them into the trash along with the plates. Once you and Ted finished your night routines you both climbed into bed. You nuzzled your face into teds chest as he wrapped his arms around you. "Goodnight, love."

"Goodnight, babe. Happy birthday." You said as you both fell into a peaceful sleep
