In honor of 2023 being Nats last year alive
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tony had figured out time travel. Now it was time to go back and fix things once and for all. You and Nat were in charge of the soul stone. Before you began your adventure to the stone you stopped her. "Whatever happens, please know I have always loved you and I always will." You said as your hand caressed her cheek.
"I will always love you too." You shared a quick kiss before going on to get the stone and go home. You reached the top a floating man in a cloak told you that the stone can ok my be achieved by trading. A soul for a soul as he called it. You and nat looked at each other. You took off in a full sprint towards the edge. She quickly pulled you back and fought to jump. This went on for a good two minutes before you ended up dangling over the edge holding onto Nat. "You've got to let go."
"I can't. You know I can't." Tears cascaded down your face.
"I love you. I love you so much, but I can't let you die. You've got so much more to live for than I ever have."
"But if I let go then I've got nothing to live for."
"You'll find someone else. And live a happy life, I want that for you. For me it's not possible. I've got too many skeletons in my closet." You stared in her eyes trying to find any hint of a lie, but there wasn't any. "It's okay." She slipped. Your hand couldn't hold on any longer, your strength gave out and she slipped. Your mouth hung open as she fell, not having any energy to form words or even scream. You slowly pulled yourself back onto the ledge and grabbed the damned stone. Then you traveled forward in time. Only now, you were alone. You stood back on the glass platform, stone in hand, and once everyone's bliss of the completed mission dissipated and they realized they were a person short they turned towards you.
"Y/n, where's Nat?" Clint spoke. You couldn't say anything as you cried out in pain and collapsed onto the ground. Should've been me. It should've been me! You sobbed for a while in that spot, Scott being the father he is, he held you as you cried. Everyone but him had left to begin making the glove.
"It should've been me Scott. I should've died not her." Your voice came off raspy and your throat had hurt a bit from the crying.
Fighting Thanos and his army was tough. Until your army had joined you all in the fight. You had the glove and were running from the giant purple raisin. As you tossed it to someone else you felt something sharp pierce through your stomach. Looking down you saw a large knife coated in your blood being pulled out. You were turned around and faced the raisin himself. "You were a good fighter, but it was the wrong cause."
"I may be dying, but at least in the end I won't lose." You said before he stabbed you through the heart.
You were blinded by white before it formed into a small quaint room. It looked very similar to your shared room with Nat you had in the avengers tower. It was were your most important and favorite memories were. "I was hoping I wouldn't see you here for a while." Her voice rang through the room causing you to turn and see her behind you. You didn't waste a second before crushing her in a bone breaking hug.
"I missed you." You said as tears already started to form.
"I missed you more." She said returning the hug. You stood there in each others arms for god knows how long. You were happy. You didn't care that you died, but you were happy it brought you to your person. You'd hoped to grow old with Nat, but hey, eternity with each other was just as good.
