After some recuperating, much needed rest and a telling off from his coach Monty was finally well enough to take Pentious out on that long-awaited date.
He did not want it to be a simple dinner or movie night; it had to be special. REALLY special!
Sir Pentious was a man of decorum, regal stature and the gentlest gentleman in all of Hell. It was time for Monty to reciprocate that and to show Penny how much he cared for him.
Seeing Penny in the ringside seats that night meant the world to Monty, it cemented a lot of uncertain feelings about the Victorian snake for him.

Monty himself was not far off the Victorian era but it was before his time.
The more Monty thought about it there were very few Victorians around other than Sir Pentious? Whether they killed each other off or extermination day finally caught up to them it was uncertain.

As Monty was lifting weights in the arena on one of his typical training sessions, it was then a mysterious silvery-white snake approached him.
"Greetings young Irish Python. I am a representative of Voxco and I was at the shakedown a few weeks back. You've got some skills! The name is Diamondback"
This snake demon offered his business card before a peculiar handshake but Monty put the dumbbell down and took the card as he sat on the workout bench.

"Oh! You were at the Shakedown? Surely you'd go for one of the rookies trying to make it? I already have the fame..." Monty was cut off by this representative.
"Ah! But no fortune. Yes, that fighter I saw in the Sinners Shakedown wasn't a fighter for the love of the sport but a man of desperation. You weren't there to prove yourself you needed the cash more than anything? Am I correct Mr Python?"

Monty didn't want to admit it but that money was really important to him. It may not be able to buy a mansion as of yet but it solved a lot of bills hanging over the Irishman. Now he was looking to spoil Penny but he was clueless in that department.
"Tell you what young Monty, my employer, Vox wants to sponsor you in the upcoming Pentagram Arena Tournament. It's in a couple of months but I'm sure you'll wow the crowd with that 'fighting spirit' you had in the shakedown."

This made Monty's heart race in excitement, a sponsorship is everything to a fighter or any athlete, but to have an overlord sponsor you is unreal, especially the likes of Vox who's the source of all entertainment in Hell.
"S-Seriously?!" Monty exclaimed in excitement and stood up towering Diamondback.
"Of course! Vox was very impressed with your performance when I reported back to him. Tell you what..." Diamondback opened the tablet he was carrying and was swiping frantically. "I will book you in for a consultation for merchandising and we can get you some new gear, plushies, body pillows and even your cereal. You have all the freedom here Monty so how does tomorrow, Wednesday morning sound?"

Gleefully with anticipation and overwhelmed with enthusiasm Monty was fidgety. "Yes! Yes, tomorrow morning is fine!"
"Excellent! You have my card and you're in for a 10 am consultation at Voxco Head Office. I shall have a driver come to pick you up here. If you need anything let me know." Diamondback offers a handshake.
Monty accepts this handshake and he had this stupid smile on his face.
As he let go of Diamondback's hand Monty was going to use his offer, "Actually, could you help me with something? I want to treat someone very special to me...would you know if there's any balls or something like that in Hell?"

Diamondback was intrigued Monty was quite young but he must have been from further back than he assumed. "Of course let me take a look." Diamondback swiped, typed and double-tapped his tablet. "There I've booked 2 Tickets for you in for Madame Germain's Masquerade Ball. It's next Friday evening at the Salle de Roses in the old part of the city. There you go Mr.Python, you shall go to the Ball."
