32: Stargazing

Chapter 32: stargazing

"I don't want to get out of bed." Aria mumbled, cuddled against Kai.

"You can stay if you want. Take a day off and just relax." He mumbled into her hair. "But I have to go down to breakfast so I won't be late for training."

Aria just sighed and pulled him even closer, burring her face in his shirt. They stayed like this a little longer.

"Did you use a new shampoo?" Kai asked suddenly, making Aria laugh lightly. "Yeah, actually I did."

"I like it. Smells nice."

Usually Aria used a flowery shampoo that was supposed to smell like lilies but now her hair smelled like an exotic fruit smoothie.

"What do you think it smells like?" She asked him.

"Well I can smell Kiwi for sure." Aria nodded. "And then coconut because it smells like your body spray." Kai went on. Aria laughed and Kai inhaled the scent of her shampoo once more. "And I think pineapple and orange."

Giggling Aria sat up. "You have such a sensitive nose what."

Kai chuckled and got out of bed. "I suppose I do." He walked too the bathroom to get changed.

Aria too hurried to get out of bed so she could get dressed before Kai came back. She pulled out a simple pair of black leggings, paired it with a Chelsea hoodie of Kai and some sneakers. He hair was left open, curling down her back.

She sat back down on the bed and pulled out her phone. For the first time in months she wasn't scared to open social media.

Baby steps. Baby steps. She told herself.

Numerous dms of Cassie had come in, which Aria wisely ignored, and several messages of friends welcoming her back.

"Are you coming down with me or will you have breakfast later?" Kai's voice pulled her out of her thoughts.

"I'll catch up with you in a sec." She smiled and Kai nodded before he left the room, walking down to breakfast.

Aria finished her message to Mason and clicked sent before she too left the room.

She could see him walking with Timo a few meters away so she hurried to catch up with them.

Kai made a surprised 'oh' sound when Aria jumped on his back but he securely held her up. "Good to know you'll catch me." She laughed.

"I'll always catch you."

"You guys are so disgustingly cute." Julian greeted the two when they arrived at their table.

"Sod off idiot."

Everyone laughed. "You even think together."

Aria just rolled her eyes at that because her mouth was stuffed with bread.

Germans sure knew how to make good bread.

"So Aria will you be coming to training today?" Leon asked her.

"I don't think I'll be of help but yeah I'll show up." She laughed.

Kai loved her genuine laugh. It had become rather rare in the past months, replaced my faint smiles, subtle chuckles and quick grins but never the hearty, jingling laugh. It was one of his favorite sounds and he smiled when he saw Aria laughing like this.
