Chapter 33: She looks so perfect

Carefully, to not wake Kai, Aria brushed a little bit of hair out of his face. The footballer was sleeping soundly next to her.

How can this not be one's favorite sight to wake up to?

Her hand wandered from his curls to lightly brushing over his cheek and eventually to a delicate finger tracing his jawline. With a small smile Aria admired the familiar features of his beautifully sculpted face.

Kai stirred lightly and Aria quickly pulled her hand away, not wanting to disrupt his peaceful slumber any further.

She tuned on her back, looking at the ceiling. Her mind drifted to the past months and how she had gone through every emotion she knew to exist but things were finally looking better and Kai sure did play the biggest part in that.

A smile formed on her lips when the footballer pulled her even closer to him and buried his head in the crook of her neck.

"How long have you been awake?" His voice was still sleep laced and a lot deeper than usual.

Aria hummed "Five minutes maybe." She felt Kai nod and laughed lightly. She started absentmindedly raking her hand through Kai's curls on the back of his head, knowing how much he loved it.

"How are you feeling birthday boy?" Kai chuckled at her question and finally sat up so that he was able to look at Aria.

"Really great actually."

"Glad to hear." She smiled up at him, not quite ready to leave the comfort of their bed.

Suddenly something in Kai's gaze shifted. "Wait what time is it?" He asked, fanatically searching for his phone.

Aria laughed and rolled her eyes. "Nineish"

Shock was prominent in his features and he jumped up running around the room. "I have to be at training at nine thirty."

Aria rolled her eyes and got up, walking after him while he was looking for his Trikot. "Kai. Relax. I talked Jogi into giving you a day off."

The footballer stopped so suddenly, that Aria walked face first into him. "Did you actually?"

"Yeah you idiot I did actually." She laughed, mocking him. "We have a whole day off and boy buckle up because we're gonna use every minute of that day."

Kai laughed, picked Aria up and twirled her around in the air, making her giggle loudly before he put her down. "I am so lucky I have you."

"Hell yeah you are."

Contrary to Aria's schedule they weren't able to leave until quarter to 11 because just every football on the bloody team had to wish Kai a happy birthday. It took the two literal ages before they could finally take off.

Aria decided to take Kai to Innsbruck, just because it was the nearest big town from the nowhere they lived currently.

The drive wasn't long and Aria and Kai had a great time singing along their favorite Music.

"Do you want to do more sightseeing or more action?" Aria asked Kai when they excited their car.

"Well what did you plan?"

"Bold of you to assume I planned anything." Kai raised an eyebrow and Aria laughed. "I planned both so you could pick."

Kai thought about it for some time. "What if we do a little bit of both?"
