Chapter 44: If you love her

Aria was hungover and she was amazed how Kai managed to score against Italy.

They had won. 1:0. It was beautiful.

Every time Germany won it was truly magical. Aria wanted to cling onto the Euphoria that each and every one of them felt forever. It was a feeling she would never get tired of.

The moment Kai kissed the back of his hand and pointed it at Aria. Or how he picked her up and twirled her around on the pitch. Or how they would be mindlessly dancing at the after parties. Or how they would sneak into each other's rooms and fall asleep, cuddled against the other.

Germany was qualified for the semi finals against Denmark and everyone was edging around with excitement.

They were given two days off and Aria was still unsure about what was planned but she didn't let herself worry too much about it.

In the past weeks she had worked on herself and it came easier to her to just cherish the moment and live life, rather than always thinking about what's coming.

The next morning Aria was woken up by horrible music blaring in her ears. She sat up straight like a candle.

"Kai." She said dangerously silent even though she hadn't even opened her eyes. "What. The. Actual. Fuck." And she threw herself into his direction, catching him of guard.

They fell onto the floor but Kai held the speaker out of her reach. It was still blaring "Guten Morgen Sonnenschein" and he was laughing loudly when Aria tried to grab it.

It took the full 3 minutes of the song and by the end Aria was in a very grumpy mood.

She checked the time. It was 6 in the fucking morning. Kai grinned and spoke when she opened her mouth to protest. "I know it's early." He shushed her. "But we have to be at a Wedding in 5 hours. That's why I thought i'd wake you up."

Aria closed her mouth before her jaw dropped in shock. "A wedding? Who is getting married?!"

Kai laughed. "Lea. My dear sister."

Aria gaped at him. "And you did not think of telling me this a little earlier?!"

"You still have 5 hours. No rush."

But Aria was already on her way to the bathroom muttering one curse after the other. Then she stopped dead in her tracks. "I don't have anything to wear."

She rushed over to her luggage, pulling out various clothes.

"Relax. I took care of it." Kai beamed and handed her a shopping bag.

Suspiciously Aria took it and eyed the insides. Then she gasped. It was a beautiful green silk dress that would fall down to her mid thighs.

"Oh my god." She breathed out in disbelief. "That must've cost a fortune." She looked up to see Kai smiling.

"You like it?"

"Are you kidding?! I love it!"

"Then it was worth every penny."

Aria melted at his words. Then he pushed her in the direction of the bathroom. "I will be back in two hours and then you'll have to be finished."

She laughed. "Aye aye captain."

Aria had hurried to wash, dry and wave her hair and she had put on the dress that fit her like a glove.
