Anastasia

Every time I look at Lorenzo, my eyes stare for a little too long. Gazing at his beauty, his aura of dominance and power that he exerts is none that I have ever encountered, even his stance alone is enough to make my knees weak. The power that he withheld in his beauty and mannerisms would be the end of any woman. However, I am quick to remind myself that he is my boss and would never take interest in me.

Lorenzo is quick to apologize, "I'm sorry about leaving you here with him, he didn't say anything did he?" I've only known Lorenzo for an hour, and I am quick to conclude that he is a complete gentleman.

"Oh no, he was very polite, just small conversations but mostly touring the place."

"That's good to hear. Come let's look over the west chamber," he says as he gestures for me to stand beside him.

"You have a very beautiful home," trying to start a conversation.

"Thank you, I incorporated some of the things I wanted in the design, but the layout was all my idea."

"I love Italianate architecture, it's beautiful and one of my favorites," I say truthfully.

"Really now? An appreciation for architecture?" he looks over at me with a raised brow.

"Yes, I would always walk over to the heavily designed parts of the city and just stare at buildings all day."

"What's your favorite architecture?"

"I'd have to say French baroque."

"Not Italian, ouch," as he pretends his heart is pained.

Laughing at the cute gesture, "I told you,  Italian is one of my favorites, but French baroque would have to be my top."

"I admire Paris' architecture as well, the Versailles is a beautiful example of that."

"I've only ever seen the pictures."

"Well, I'll have to take you someday." I laugh it off, but he looks at me playfully making me question his sincerity in the offer.

It's as if he sees my mind trying to come up with a million ways of politely saying no before he tilts his head and in a soft tone says, "don't worry about it."

"Please you have already done so much for me."

"I insist," he stops and his hand waves over the expansive room, "alright here we are the west chamber. There is not much here. Just some empty bedrooms, a hall for where my meetings are held, and upstairs is a gym and there is a movie theatre up there too. So if you're ever bored, you can just pick from the selection there."

Wow. "Thank you."

"No problem," he says softly staring intently into my eyes. It was quite intimidating and I think my whole face turned a tomato red, as his eyes looked deeply into mine before trailing down my lips, pausing, and then landing on his clothes.

"I almost forgot, I'll have Brent, my driver, take you shopping for clothes now if you'd like."

"Oh no, please I can just pick up my clothes in my apartment." Clothes being the same three long sleeves and sweats since I was 18.

"That won't be necessary, I insist."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, as for the things in your apartment, if you still want them, you can stop by there as well. I'll just have a bodyguard there since the area is dangerous."

"Thank you," giving him a small smile to which he returns.

He glanced down at his phone and typed something before a man notified Brent was ready.
