Anastasia

Of course the beautiful woman would have a beautiful name. I watched as Lorenzo's smile tilted while Chiara still had her hands on her hips, but the same smirk as Lorenzo's. It was silent for about two seconds until it seemed like Lorenzo realized that I was in the room when her gaze faltered over to me. I knew I looked shy, just standing there slightly behind Lorenzo holding his arm and hand that he hadn't let go to greet her. He turns over to me, "Anastasia, this is Chiara, my sister. Sister Anastasia." Sister.

She smiles sweetly as we both meet to which she gives me a handshake. "Do you work with my brother? I've never seen you around..."

"She's mine-" Lorenzo intercedes.

Both Chiara and I turn our heads. While she has a look of surprise, I can't suppress the grin on my face. "Oh," is all she says, before going over to Lorenzo and slugging him on the shoulder.

"What was that for?" Lorenzo asks, I laugh at seeing the two exchange.

"First of all, next time introduce her as your girlfriend. And second of all! Why didn't you tell me?!"

He chuckles, "sorry sorellina," she huffs before turning back to me with a huge smile and embraces me.

"Do you know how long I've been waiting for this day?! God, Lorenzo has been a loner since birth. How long have you guys known each other? When did you make it official?"

"Enough with the interrogation sorellina.."

I smile sweetly, "we've known about each other for a couple months now... and we didn't make it official until recently..." although both him and I know the exact date.

"November 11" he intercedes. I turn around to find a smug grin on his face.

"Today..." she pieces together.

I nod as she shrugs, "well I think you'll know soon enough that this family loves coming unannounced. And as I present myself as an incredulous example, so will the rest of our family," averting her eyes over to Lorenzo. "The rest of the family is spending Thanksgiving here." She said it so matter of factly, that I chortled aloud because Lorenzo never gets bossed around.

"And who came up with this decision?"

"Nostra madre," she smiles cheekily. [our mother]

Lorenzo rolls his eyes, and I tease "they might get stuck like that..."

Chiara laughs loudly, slinging an arm over me, "I like her already..."  as Lorenzo chuckles shaking his head in amusement.

"Whatever, you can go and put your stuff in the West Chamber."

"Why not east? Let me enjoy it before you give me the room with cameras..." a smug look plastered on her face.

My room... Lorenzo eyes me, while I give him a I'll get my stuff out of there look, and as expected he furrows his brow in confusion. He looks over at his sister again, "just keep your stuff in the living room," he turns back around facing her, "and since you're here figure out what you want for dinner."

She rolls her eyes and carries her luggage over. As I go over to help Chiara Lorenzo grabs my arm, "amore mio, we have a problem."

I grin, "it's alright she can have my room. I'll take the ones with cameras and then when your parents come, I'll just stay over at Carla's ..."

He tsks, "she can have the pool house."

"Lorenzo, she's your sister and I'm just a guest."

"No, you're my love." I can't stop the smile that spreads, "and I will have her sleep in the poolhouse or..." I raise a brow letting him continue, "you could sleep in my bed for the time my family is here, and I'll take the couch."

Now it's my turn to tsk, "Lorenzo, this is your house and that's your room..."

"But I love you and I don't want you sleeping anywhere uncomfortable." I continue to tear my lip, thinking if I really want to do this. I mean I'm not sleeping with him... I'm just sleeping in his room.

"Tesoro, tell me what you're thinking..." he asks, eyes filled with anticipation as his hand caresses my cheek.

"I think you'll kick me out the first night, I've been told I snore..."

He chuckles, "no you don't."

"What?"

"Nothing..." Lorenzo diverts quickly, eyebrows scrunched together.

"You're cute," I smile cheekily.

"Cute?"

"Yes Mr. Amoretto. Cute."

He rolls his eyes, "don't even say it. And I expect you in my bed tonight."

I smile cheekily, "I'll pack my things-"

"They go in my room too." I roll my eyes.

He chuckles, and before he can I say "don't even."
